Pretty Sweet Micro System

$300 build seems to be the sweet spot: 2200g, 2x4GB of whatever samsung chip ram you can find (will run at least 2933 regardless of rating) and a 512GB nvme will fit in at that price if you shop right.

amazon sells them prebuilt like that, what you describe but only a 256GB ssd is $320 I think. so, not bad.

I've been waiting for one of these to replace a Zacate based secondary surf/GoG rig since Zotac previewed one like it over a year ago. Odd that it took so long. The decision now falls to 200GE vs 2200G, 45 vs 80 bucks at MC prices.

According to comments there, the retail stealth cooler will fit the case if you remove the fan shroud.

Yeah, that system is a hell of a good deal, although it's a bit of a stretch for a 2400G with the included PSU.

According to the Tech Spot review you can use the retail coolers if you take off the shroud.

If my file server died tomorrow, I may go with this, instead of ripping everything out.. I think I've hacked my Antec ISK 300-65 to the point where it might just be easier to start over. It would be a little pain having to buy SODMMs, but those are just an adapter away from working on desktops, if I needed to test them in another machine.
