Any higher quality 4K VA monitors out there? (alternative to 32UD60-B)

I'm ok with every aspect of the 32UD60-B except for the panel uniformity. It's kind of streaky and cloudy looking. I would like to find another 4K VA with g-sync or freesync and definitely not bigger than 32". I wish there were smaller VA's with a higher PPI, but there just isn't.

I picked up the Costco version (LG 32uk50t-W) of this the other week to give a shot.

It's alright. I currently have an Acer XB270HU (27" 2K IPS 165hz GSYNC). The XB270HU is a great panel, it's just a bit small. I rather like it, but there are issues with some games recognizing and supporting 165hz which is rather annoying.

Acer supposedly has a 43" 144hz VA w/ HDR 10 and FreeSync coming out. I'm probably going to give that one a shot, or perhaps one of the 38" GSYNC screens out now.

The thing is these monitors are getting so expensive they're nearly getting to the point where buying an OLED panel will be just a bit more. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for the prices on the new 49" OLEDs coming out.

I have the LG 32UD59-B and wouldn't recommend it although it generally has good reviews, mine has ghosting even in the browser on pages like slashdot.org (https://www.dropbox.com/s/xhtn37hfl6e7ixc/Slashdot.orgScrolling.MOV?dl=0)... Uniformity is OK on anything other than black (https://imgur.com/a/ytXGo) and very light gray (full screen, there are visible vertical lines). Ended up keeping it since I want to use it for coding.

How is the 32UD60-B regarding ghosting? From my info it also uses an Innolux panel just like the 32UD59-B so just curious.

BTW to my knowledge there are only the Innolux panels available in 4k for VA for now, the LG's are 31.5 inch as well. Maybe Samsung uses another panel although I doubt it...

I think there is likely very little difference between the 32UD59-B and 32UD60-B. And I'm pretty much where you are with it. I wouldn't really recommend it, but I'm not seeing anything better at this point.

My primary concern is appearance of text for reading general articles and coding. I think the coating might be on th heavy side of light AG coatings negating some of the benefit of the 140 PPI. Or it could just be clarity of pixels with VA. Whatever it is, text appears softer than what it should. But so far VA it is much easier on my eyes than IPS, so it is at least useable for me without eye strain, which is a of course a big plus.

The not so good uniformity is most noticeable on a grey background, which is what I use for eye comfort in a text editor. Ghosting is definitely present on the 32UD60-B. I don't notice it so much while gaming, but I tend to play single player, not too fast paced games. In Firefox, turning off smooth scrolling helps enough that ghosting isn't an issue for me.

I have the 59 and no issues with a all light grey desktop. (Same color as the old Apple grey). No ghosting. And i find it very sharp.

I use mine for photography work, Lightroom and Photoshop with a RTX2070 GPU.

125% scaling and re-calibrated
