Pretty good for that card. Those are the more sought after ones.

fuuuu i want one.. been waiting so long for the aftermarket cooled rx56's to go on sale.. but it's already back to 320 rip.

Here's a gigabyte for the same price.

yeah sadly though the heatsinks even more useless than the blower heatsink.. the cards pretty much non functional out of the box without undervolting it and/or manually setting a fan curve 20% higher than the default settings used by gigabyte. but i do like the 3 hdmi 3 dp ports though..

Thanks for this info. 65% of reviews are 1* on newegg. Apparently the VRMS are on the back of the card & have no cooling fans so the cards die quickly. Apparently you'll need very very good airflow over the BACK of the card to keep them cool, so I think I'm going to pass.

If you aren't undervolting and increasing the current via Power Play table mods with Vega, then you are doing it wrong. Don't think I'm advocating for that GB card if it has shitty cooling but even at $320 that Sapphire card is a great deal.

just noticed the powercolor rx 56 red dragon is now 320 on newegg.. not really on "sale" but definitely a better card than the gigabyte. the gigabyte card is down to 270. they must be really trying to offload these cards before navi's announced in june.

Refurbished PowerColor Radeon RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooler $349.99

I sold my Radeon VII for good cause

Reading reviews and users seems within 5-10% of Radeon VII

I have 75" 4k freesync TV, reason im considering getting Vega 64 LC

Radeon VII vs 64

This really depends on resolution. The difference can be as much as 40%.

At lower res, there is less difference. At 2560x1440p looks like 18-30%.

Yeah having owned both (with a golden 64 with a full block and 780mm worth of rad cooling space vs 120mm with that stock AIO) the LC 64 is never even close to the VII (especially with that under water).

What is this "good reason" for getting rid of your VII and then wanting to down grade but still play at 4k?

I sold it to EMS/Firefighter around my area, he was really wanting one, he helps people everyday. His cool guy.

I gave back to EMS/Firefighter, just paying it forward, why not help EMS/Firefighter.

Any good sites or forum posts for the power mods and tweaks to get the most out of this card?

So maybe I'm missing something but I don't see what that "% difference" refers to...maybe at 1080p only?

I had a 64 that would sustain 1750Mhz with over 581GB/s of memory bandwidth and the VII stomps all over it with that massive 1TB/s (currently a good bit more in my case) amount of memory bandwidth. Vega is extremely memory bandwidth starved. I have invested hundred of hours tweaking them since their launch week so I feel like I have more experience then anyone here, aside from some of the Overclock.net guys.

The LC 64 is ok, but you would have been much better off buying my Golden 64 that had a full cover EK block I sold here for $300. I gave those cards away basically. It was the second fastest 64 in the 3DMark DB, and I honestly truly believe the person in front of me was either using chilled water or an INSANE amount of voltage and current just to say they were "Number 1". My card was 98% as fast with power settings that you could run 24/7 for years and never worry about Killing the card.

Im still debating if i'd be better off getting normal vega64 install waterblock and call it day,

Or get Radeon VII and install waterblock.

Get vega 64 LC and put waterblock on it

I should have mentioned this in my PM back to you, but don't waste your money on getting the LC 64 if you are going to just tear the cooler off (since you have a full loop you are almost done with). You can buy a reference 64 air, any reference (the black or silver limited edition etc) and flash the LC 64 bios to it with zero risk since all it does is add 20W TDP to the "board" power and Vega has dual bios chips so it's easy to recover from a bad flash.

got my card, liking this thing so far.. they definitely have the zero fan controls set super aggressive.. currently playing mwo at 80fps maxed out(games super cpu limited with my r5 1600) and cards sitting at 58C with the fans turned off right now. just spins them up to 1400rpm every 5-6 minutes for about 30 seconds. really wish these cards had come down to these prices maybe 5-6 months ago so i could of bought 2 of them instead of the 1070 at 300 dollars during black friday for my flight sim.

I also owned the LC 64... even OC'ed to the hilt with an F150 radiator for cooling, there's no scenario it gets within 5-10% of VII. It could get within 15% maybe at 1080p with LC 64 OC'ed and VII at stock, but in all other scenarios the difference is more around 20-25%.
