The Division 2

He pretty much created the 1.8 Tactician Solo Challenging meta in D1. I was still using that build at the end it was so much fun to play.

I never did that one, but the tanktician way back when was a lot of fun to play

Yes it was. This wasn't quite that strong, but the way he built it put a lot of punch into the skills, plus had some crazy good healing. It was a 5 pc Tactician with the Backpack that gave healing for damage done with Skills. Mostly you'd hide in the back and let your mines and turret do all the work for you. Sounds boring, but you get more engaged than you'd think. I had a blast with it, made soloing Challenging missions doable for me.

To be honest, they are all a bit under-performing, and most people will run Liberty or Chatterbox for their passive (3rd) perks.

I do agree, but Nemesis' passive head shot bonus with an AR build is insane. I think head shot builds are better than crit builds. Also, with this build I can use talents and still do 90k to 190k with an AK from normal to named. The least amount of damage I do is 90k; and I am not talking target practice.

Around 486 GS atm on my Agent. (World Tier 5) Been doing Invaded missions the past few nights on Challenging and also did the Arena Stronghold last night on Challenging. Aside from a few Insanely difficult areas in each it hasn't been too awful bad as of yet although it did take a few tries to get the difficult sections done. Did try Heroic level Invaded stuff and got my lungs handed to me. lol

Level wise im like an Ant compared to some of you guys lol......I still enjoy jumping into group action! I been working an 86hr week schedule and dont usually have much left in the tank to play lol

A dust storm kicked up while doing Tidal Basin; it looked more like hell with all the fires so welcome to hell!

The weather effects are outstanding and appear to affect enemy AI as well. The dust storm definitely seemed to limit field of vision for all.

It's a shame a D50 drop in this is like moving a mountain and I'm still trying to get Modified Modifiers to drop for Chatterbox as well.

Have you done the museum side mission saving the guys who were stripping it for wires? At the very least it adds a 3rd hyena box to the rotation.

I seen around half a dozen D50 drop, I read somewhere they are to be used for an exotic so I kept most of mine. Need to look into the rest of that, but first working on the exotic sniper.

Wow, what am I doing wrong on the D50 drop?

Exotic Sniper...I think I've gone as far as is known for now... no idea if there's a blueprint forthcoming (maybe?)...

The sniper is fully released, I got it a few days ago. There are specific missions/strongholds you have to run on Invaded mode but not all the strongholds are available as Invaded all the time. You had to be doing them as they came out and collecting the parts so depending on what parts you have, you may have to wait until that particular stronghold comes back around as Invaded.

Blueprint is in game. 1st boss on Grand Washington Hotel (invaded). 2nd room, takes 5 minutes to get to him. I've heard (can't confirm) only drops on Challenging. Done it twice on challenging, seen it 2 for 2. So it might go away come this reset if the invaded goes away in this sector. There is some speculation that the rotation part of the invasion will go away, and we will be able to do any invasion after Thursday. I haven't read anything confirming / denying that.

D50 is RNG. Here is a set of "runs" that can net you a lot of gear / weapons in a short-ish amount of time.

The Blueprint drops on Normal (Invaded), I got it first run. You HAVE to have to have the rest of the parts first or it will not drop though, at least as far as i could tell.

I've been grinding away on a low level character trying to farm those blue weapon mods from the DZ. Holy hell these things are hard to find.

I'd suggest getting to level 20. I was at level 18 most of the weekend and the highest ones I could find were 5%. And even then I could only find 1 each of SMG, Shotgun, Assault Rifle. And just a few minutes ago I got a 6% Marksman Rifle. That's why being level 20 gets you those 6% mods.

So if one wants to attain multiples of these mods it's going to take some serious effort. So that's been my own little personal project in the game right now.

We could probably use a reminder where all of them are concerned, so here:

It does not matter what order you do the Bosses in, but the Blueprint must be done last:
  • Must have finished Tidal Basin for the first time on Story Mode
  • Play Tidal Basin again on Invaded mode
  • Find secret room key half way into mission
  • Open secret room towards end of mission; loot unique SR1 called "Andrestia"; deconstruct if for your first part: Scope - The Tally
  • Scorch - The Barrel drops from Invaded Capitial Building Boss David "Prime" Maxwell
  • Scales - The Bolt drops from Invaded Roosevelt Island Boss Erin "Shorty" Linwood
  • Bridle - The Stock drops from Invaded District Union Arena Boss Aurora "Klutz" Kay
  • Blueprint drops from Invaded Grand Washington Hotel Boss Phaedra "Puk" Lao (1st Boss you face early in the mission)

*Drops from Hyenna Key boxes in each of their districts; High End (gold) P90 required to craft.

High End (gold) D50 Pistol required to craft. Must be done in order:
  1. Trigger & Mechanism drops from Capital Building Outcast Boss Kendra Nelson
  2. Receiver & Paintjob drops from American History Museum Outcast Boss Captain Briggs
  3. Sight & Rail drops from Viewpoint Museum Outcast Boss Carl Wade
  4. Grip & Tags + Blueprint drops from Space Administration Outcast Boss Steve "Junior" Quiroz

*Drops in DZ, highest drop rate in Occupied DZ

*Drops from any named Hyenna Bosses, higher drop rate on Challenging.

*Drops from any named Outcast Bosses, higher drop rate on Challenging.

I just unlocked clans this morning, I haven't gotten invested enough into the game yet to spend more than an hour or so at a time playing, and that's only every few days. Destiny 2 is starting to bore me a bit though so I might start picking TD2 up more often.

Snipping this part. 1) thank you again for consolidating this. 2.) For the Liberty you also need a HE (yellow) D50 sidearm which is a random drop right, which is stated in the video, but in case people don't wanna watch it.

Ah yea, forgot about that. Added, thanks for the reminder.

Also added HE P90 for Chatterbox; and that the Nemesis BP must be picked up last.

If they don't have room for you in the general clan, get at me for the GenMay clan, I'll boot a rando for ya :)

A note on Nemesis / Chatterbox / Liberty... if you want to get a better roll, or even another exotic to dismantle for mats, make an alt and put the exotic on that character, and you'll be "eligible" to re-do these quests.

I hate to say this but I feel like I'm already getting to the place I did in the first game: I'm not sure why I'm playing and what I'm play for past I like the game, etc.

I am trying to chase down at least some of these exotic weapons but it's getting a little discouraging. I'm trying to get Modified Modifiers to still drop to finish off Chatterbox. Still trying to get a D50 to drop. Wouldn't mind seeing Merciless drop. I just have bad luck I guess. I have no idea how some of you have had "seemingly" fairly easy luck of it although I suspect some of you have been able to invest a bit more time overall than I have.

( I am paying attention to the above YT videos)

This weeks state of the game.
Two highlights:
They confirmed that 515 drops are not going to be limited to the DZ.
Also they are changing the GS stuff with recal'ed items. (will stay GS 500 just have a recal rating of 0-100)
Enjoy.

A lot of us or in the same situation you are right now. They don't call it the grind for nothing. If I see you online I'll invite you so we can grind for hyena keys and cases.

I never had to have a HE P90 for my Chatterbox. You do need a Chatterbox of GS 250 or above for the level 500 upgrade (found out the hard way when I DE'ed my 490 for the exotic components and had to farm the hyena keys and components for the GS 490 AGAIN).

Hit GS 490 last night and most likely will hit 500 this weekend. Just did various levels of Control Points the past day or so and have been getting random weapons and gear in the 475-493 range so far. Will probably try the Tidal Basin on Challenging but not really looking forward to the end battle. (I expect to die a LOT lol)

Yeah having to re-collect the materials is kind of stupid in my opinion. And am i wrong in thinking the only thing that changes when you re-roll them is the DMG?

Yea nothing really changed on the stats but that, and i have to admit that even though it an exotic, it seems kind of weak. I roll that and a LMG but use the LMG primarily because of the sustained damage output plus when the passive procs the rate of fire is insane and really helps burn people down quick. I just wish it had the same power as the other SMGs. Its not even that accurate either.

I watched a bunch of YT videos and read some articles about chatterbox, and almost all of them had differences about what to do. The best way IMO to look at it is that each of the hyena zones has one part. I seen some videos claim the hotel has 2 but that seems incorrect.

The most annoying part is the 24hr period between openings of chests (I'm used to wow timers which reset once per day which is a bit more flexible)

While their seems to be some parts of all the videos that are correct everyone had their own ideas on how to "farm" the components. I will say this:
#1 the Grand washington Hotel does indeed have hyena 2 boxes. One is in a bathroom on like the 2nd or third floor (can't remember which)
#2 you can only get the 3 components in seperate sections of the hyena controlled territory. Downtown East, Federal Triangle, and Judiciary Square.
What make it confusing is that the drops are purely RNG because I wasted more keys than I can even count to get the components twice. At least 3 days worth of full ( 3 area searches thats at least 6 keys a day. and possibly more if i did the missions where Hyena keys were located.)
the 24 hr thing REALLY slows you down. Also its probably best to just do this solo because its based on who's instance you are in. So either someone could open your boxes or you could open theirs and it will screw up the stuff.

Man, if those boxes are RNG based I must be extremely lucky. I always follow the written guides and every box has always had what I needed IF I collected them in order. Getting exotic pieces this way has been trivial.

I am definitely doing more of those map walks like the stuff you and some others posted. I have definitely stayed in order as well.

Unfortunately there is too much mixed information. At least some of the YT videos showed me visually where some of these chests were like trying to get the Modified Modifiers out of that DUA Stronghold. Now I know exactly where that box is.

https://www.gamesradar.com/division-2-liberty-exotic-pistol-desert-eagle-how-to-get-guide/

Their guide for the weapons seems to be as good as anything I've seen and I haven't seen people trash it in the comments for errors.

I'm convinced there is a spotty bug with this because I've run missions where I knew I was past 24 hrs. easily and was still staring at empty boxes.

There are a number of things in this game that I feel they could stand to meet the player halfway on more than they do. I understand at higher difficulties the bullet sponging is going to be off the charts against enemies but you really are a cream puff. Two shots, you're dead, at best. C'mon. Yes, I know you need to use cover and use great tactics but sometimes this is just ludicrous what happens.

I am confused on this "you need an HE 90" talking point as well.

All I need is Modified Modifiers and I can make Chatterbox the best I can see. I need Merciless to drop which I think I understand if you focus on Bank HQ challenging and...Hyena named bosses?... I can't even remember right now... it eventually drops. To get the shotgun to drop you have to focus on Outcasts (high challenge, named bosses, etc.) and D50 is somehow like moving a mountain for me.

So I will get it done eventually but admittedly I can see that I'm starting to pull back on my play time because I am only going to invest so much effort in all that grind.

When I have YT people saying they did something 40 times before a drop... that's not going to be me unless it just happens during the natural course of other things. I only have so much free time and I have other games I want to play as well in said free time.

I do have to restate the talking point from earlier: I wish they would streamline and update the inventory system a bit more. I'm not saying dumb it down. I'm saying refine it and clean it up. Games like Destiny have spoiled me in that regards and that's before I even discuss nifty inventory apps and the rest of it.

I'm where I was at with the first game where I start taking more breaks until a major update.

Noted... maybe not a bug?..

Here is the problem: Unless you're a beast it keeps coming up that the higher the difficulty the better your chances are so "Hard" would be the almost most a lot of us could attempt to do some of these missions solo. Challenge would be out of the question (at least for me.) This is where guys on YT were talking about 40 runs to get a drop and so forth.

I think you missunderstood me, I ment there are guides saying that the first lootbox in the hotel drops part one and the 2nd lootbox drops part 2 which did not happen for me and also is not mentioned in other guides as they are like I stated putting 1 item in each section of DC that is hyena controlled (and you also stated correctly)

For the moment I have iirc 2 parts for the handgund and 2 for the sniper (hopefully a third one tonight as the invasion should have moved)

One more sidebar. ;)

I wish some of these games like Division would also take a cue from Borderlands: Why not let everyone simply share/drop any item or piece of equipment if they want to with other players in a game? Not just items you picked up on that specific run? That's a needless and dumb restriction IMO.
