Destiny 2

I never have bothered to masterwork any armor. I didn't see the point.

I still feel like this got tightened down a little bit too much. I know they didn't want people to just spam upgrade themselves like water but I wouldn't mind a slight tilt back more in the direction that it was.

Many people aren't happy about the enhancement core requirement given how difficult it is to get them. It isn't difficult, but the amount of effort per core can be time consuming compared to other resources in the game.

I did the verdant forest with a couple of randoms 2 times before work, we only cleared 20 or so branches each time but it was a lot of fun.

What's the difference between doing regular vs "firewall" on the forest?

They introduced that mechanic with the Haunted Forest back during Halloween. Basically the Firewalled version has no matchmaking so you can run it solo.

Avoid the destiny subreddit.. if the bitching about cores were not bad enough this event has really chapped some heinies. Not enough GoldBond to sooth that chapped hurt.

No one likes the core situation, but I think its blown out of proportion. Without too much effort I earned about 50 or so of them in a single week just doing the stuff I'd do normally. That's not even including Spider's bounties which payout cores or doing all the scrapper bounties. I let about half those expire.

Really? I must be grinding mars too much. I hover about 13 or so, but have ducked down to about 3 when upgrading to masterwork on my main damage dealers.

Well, in part the secret is leveling up your clan to get the perk where a weekly engram nets you 7 cores. I did this on two characters to hit that total. That's not how many you would get only playing solo. I'm sitting on 52 cores right now as I masterworked a Blast Furnace pulse rifle. I probably made 20 of those to get one with decent perks on it. I dropped down to 49 or something from 68 doing that and I'm back up to 52 or so now. I think the core economy issues would be solved one of two ways. Either increase the drop rate or reduce the cost of masterworking items. I never masterwork armor as I wouldn't waste the cores on anything without enhanced perks on it. I rarely see enhanced perks and when I do, its almost never for anything I actually use or find of value.

I think I get the majority just playing and dismantling weapons. When I do vault clean outs, I get 30-40 at a time.

Also, if you sided with the drifter, each week you'll get a package with a few.. 7 maybe?

haha I just seen that on youtube and its golden, I just unlocked my arbalest last night and got to do 1 pvp match with it. If you can land those headshots its so satisfying seeing that 414 damage pop up lol.

^^ Just more reasons why people like me can never get anything done in Crucible. ;)

You've just got to put in the time to improve at it. I don't know how to explain it, but there are some nuances to it which take time to grasp. I used to get terrible results in Crucible, now I do very well most of the time. What made that happen was doing things like the Ace of Spades, Last Word and Thorn quests.

I'm not sure I'll ever get Thorn done to be honest with you.

I'm at 12 percent connection and it's got about three "weeklies" done and maybe a few extra hours, tops, here and there.

I simply don't want to dump so many hours of my free time on that so a bunch of junkies can bang my ass and I'm lucky to go up 1-2 percentage points after a couple of hours. I do recall you making similar complaints in the past.

If I do get it done it will be untold weeks or months from now at the rate I'm going. My guess is that Ace will still be my all time king anyways for all that. ;)

I'm open to all tips on that.

Same goes for Malfeasance although I'm slowly moving along on that. (I think only Gambit Prime counts here?)

I still marvel that I ever got Last Word accomplished. Ace wasn't fun but at least that didn't make me want to slam my head into a wall.

Well, there are ways of making the Thorn quest go faster. If you use a void hand cannon in competitive or Iron Banner you'll go up more quickly. Or, if you can get a big kill streak in regular you'll gain a lot at once. I went up 10-15% per match a couple times. The rest of the time it was 1% sometimes in standard Crucible and 2-4% in competitive. It was a lot of games but I got it done. There was also the by product of maxing out my valor rank and being able to get the Last Perdition pulse rifle as a result of it.

I like the game really is a shame they dropped the items from crucible matches unless you do five matches for a Engram. I have no idea how to get past level 20 except buy the Forsaken DLC or grind. Did they add anything with a arean like House of wolves in the 1st game my favorite part was the timer on the lewt when the bottom opened up after the 3 rounds. I like the crucible but anything else just bores me.

You can't get past Level 20 without buying the expansions. You can still get gear from Crucible, but you have to do the daily and weekly challenges, as well as the bounties which pay Crucible rep tokens you spend with Shaxx.

I was enjoying this but when blizzard sent diablo to mobile I uninstalled battle.net. Glad to see you guys are getting your money's worth.

The Foresake DLC is well worth it. fYI..

+1 for buying Forsaken. If you don't have COO and Warmind, you're getting A LOT of game, and Forsaken Is really good.

Got a curated Kindled Orchid today, which comes 'drop mag/kill clip/rampage' which is the god roll, ie the absolute best roll you can get for it. You have a small chance of dropping a curated version when forging a 'powerful' frame.

Right now the Titan class is in a very poor state, they have no meaningful way of contributing to PvE content and having a Titan in your group instead of another class just makes the game's content more difficult. Players have been bitching about this for some time now, though no response from Bungie.

Its funny, the last few days i've been contemplating deleting my Titan so I can experience the story again fresh. When it comes to leveling mine after my Warlock (master race) and Hunter, I feel i'm bringing the fireteam down.

I have yet to get a currated drop from forging frames which is weird because I forged enough frames to get a jotunn.

Every level cap increase I feel so slow as I just hit 695 last night and got my first 700 drop.

I've been trying to get that roll for some time now. I've had the ship for the 100 forges for quite some time and the bulk of my runs have been those hand cannons. You can get nearly the same roll on a non-curated frame too (hence so many runs for the hc). I've had 1 good (outlaw/rampage) drop of that thing and everything else has been throw away. I've had the curated hammerhead, blast furnace, and bow, but no dang hand cannon. Sometimes I hate rng. I do have a perfect rolled blast furnace, imo, so I guess you give and take.

Curated rolls only drop from the Bergusia Forge. They also have a higher chance to drop on powerful (gold) frames. The chances are extremely low on silver frames, though it is possible.

Any rolls the gold frames can have occur on the silver frames as well. The pool of perks is the same. You also have to realize that the curated versions are not necessarily the best versions of each given weapon. In fact, I'd argue they are generally not the best with a few exceptions. The Blast Furnace certainly isn't. In fact, its damn near terrible. The good thing is you will at least get 7 cores out of breaking them down, so I always hope for the curated versions whether I'll be keeping the weapon or not. You also get another copy of the weapon with random perks when the curated ones drop, so its a nice bonus.

What would you consider the perfect Blast Furnace? My best Blast Furnace that I currently have is Appended Mag / Outlaw / Rampage, which is not too far from being as good as you can get in my opinion. My girlfriend has one that has Feeding Frenzy and Rampage, making it the best you can get as far as I am concerned. Not only is it slightly faster at reloading, but hers isn't dependent on precision kill shots to proc Outlaw.

I got pretty luck with Blast Furnaces early on.

PvE roll is Feeding Frenzy/Rampage with a Reload masterwork. My PvP is a Snapshot/Dropmag/Kill Clip with a Handling masterwork.

Both feel really good for their roles so I never really bothered with any others.

Are you sure they can drop from silver frames? I've only had them on powerful frames. I dismantled my curated blast furnace for the shader and then purpled all the things. My blast furnace is a feeding frenzy/rampage roll. I forget the rest but they are the exact scope, mw, and mag that I would pick if I had to build one. The sight is that holographic type one that that only pops up when you zoom in, I forget what it's called.

I've also got an outlaw/rampage and outlaw/kill clip version of the blast furnace too. I do really like the curated hammerhead, I've been running that quite a bit lately.

Nice on the PvE roll. The PvP roll is more debatable, but if it works for you. I've got a Outlaw / Kill Clip Blast Furnace, but I don't do that well with it. I do best with Claws of the Wolf and The Last Word.

Supposedly. I remember reading that somewhere but I believe the chance is minute at best. Right now I'm running a Outlaw / Rampage Blast Furnace, which is the best I've ever gotten. I've almost only ever gotten shitty rolls on those. In fact, the Hammerhead is the only one I did well with getting one almost as good as the curated version early on. I now have the curated one so the other one was sent to an alt. I also did well on the Ringing Nail. I have one with Dragonfly and Rampage with the same close range optic you have and a medium option as well. That's about as good as it gets for me. I have a decent hand cannon as well, but it took me running that forge some 70 times to make that happen. I probably have close to 150 clears of various forges in all.

While you may look badass ... you are still a titan. ;)

LOL i know i know. I happened to be on my titan when I decided to find a new shader to play with. My Hunter and Warlock are looking just as fly, don't you worry!
