I'm torn between buying one of the following.
Should I give up 4K res for the better specs?

All have i7-8750.

1. 4k display + rtx 2070 = $2900
2. 1080p + rtx 2070 = $2200
3. 1080p + rtx 2080 = $2600

It is for everyday use + lots of photo editing + casual gaming (sekiro, league of legends, etc. Nothing super graphic intensive)

I'm afraid of giving up 4K since I mainly do photo editing because it's so much clearer and better contrast when I do my work... But there is only 1 4k option with the new rtx cards and it's very pricey since it isn't on sale.

I have the 2018 version and got it used a couple months ago with the 1060 and the 1080p 60hz screen and I love it.

I have a Thunderbolt 3 dock and use it with my 32" LG ultrawide 144hz at home for Rocket League and Apex and when new games come out that the 1060 can push out 144fps or higher then I will grab an eGPU dock

the 1080p 60hz screen it great on battery life and I really only use it as a laptop sporatically.... I have a thunderbolt 3 dock at work too and have the Dell 38" ultrawide there too...

..... if you are going to use the screen everyday I would get the 1080 144hz screen.... the glossy touch 4k screen is going to eat your battery for lunch

I get 6-8 hours of batter life with undervolting now.... that 4k touch screen is going to get you under 6 hours of battery life
