You've decided to cut the cord because cable prices are just too high? It looks like content providers are retaking control of their content, buying out online media services, and pushing the price back up. YouTube TV prices are scheduled to raise to $50.00 a month, although this is offset by the inclusion of the channels owned by the Discovery network and the future inclusion of the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Disney recently acquired enough Hulu shares to make it the majority (60%) owner of that service, and is looking to buy AT&T's 10% oownership. Although Hulu with no ads is still $12.00 a month, Hulu with live TV is $51.00.
Is internet delivery the new cable? It's hard to say, but even if it doesn't sound like a duck, it is starting to walk like a duck.
EDIT: Corrected to change name from YouTube Premium to YouTube TV, my thanks to people who caught that mistake.
