Sniper Elite V2 Remastered: Releasing Next Month

Am I weird for thinking it is still fine to play the original? Anyway if you didn't play it I would recommend it. OK back to the Borderlands remaster :D

The OG still looks and plays great to me, not weird at all. ;)
 
Shame I don't qualify for that good deal for the GoG version because I own it on steam. :( I'd rather upgrade to a DRM-Free version.
 
Don't think I would pay twice for a game with the same content. The better right res graphics are one thing but I don't see how it make the games any more "fun".
Now, if they had some bonus missions included that would tip the scale.
 
I played this just for the Adolf Hitler mission there is one in each of the series #4 being the best of the bunch.

It appears you can no longer purchase the original version on Steam, so...unless you already owned it...

Also, OP is a bit off, you don't get an additional 10% off for pre-ordering if you own the previous copy. It's an "upgrade" item and there's no 10% off on that.

All that said, I think I probably got this with a Humble Bundle or free at some point. Not sure I want to spend $10 for a remaster.
 
Played this twice on PC. Looking forward to the remaster. I think this was the best of the Sniper Elite games. I hated 3 and 4 b/c they took everything too close-quarters... very rarely did I feel the need to use my sniper rifle when I could sneak around and take people out either by hand or with the silenced pistol.


So I just watched the trailer, and the comparisons are very misleading. It is a comparison from the console versions... the PC version imo looked just like the remastered version always... so yeah I guess this isn't going to give me a reason to play it again... oh well. I might buy it for the Nintendo Switch at some point, but that's unlikely too.
