Hynix. Expect the B-die to come in as a deal soon. Samsung has to reduce inventory.
Wait for this to come on sale.

This is Hynix M die which should have no issues with Ryzen (even with older bios releases). I have a kit with the same timings that I initially ran at 2933c14 1.4V on a 1600 @4.1 and it was Rock solid and quick.

On newer bios releases I can run 3200 with tightened timings. B die is going to keep that $50-75+ premium, and it's honestly not worth it once you get over 2933-3200 with Ryzen.

I have a feeling that the cache/front end changes and the move to a separate I/O die changes to Zen 2 is going to make things even better, but that is just a guess.

Right now, you would be better to take that extra money and buy a 512-1TB NVME SSD or bump up a GPU tier then waste it on b die IMO.

these are 3000mhz so it doesn't matter if it's hynix or not they'll run XMP on any ryzen processor. it's after 3000mhz where samsung B-die matters when it comes to first gen ryzen, not as much of an issue on second gen unless you lose the IMC lottery. i currently use these on my flight sim PC (b450 w/ a 2600x) and have had zero issues with them.

Great to see ram prices finally coming down. Now we need this trend to would apply to GPUs!

Thanks, you just a answered my question if b-die was still needed on the newer chipsets. woohoo

I have (I think) this exact set of ram on my ryzen 2600 server PC. Turned on, set to XMP in bios, boots and runs with zero issues. 10/10 would recommend for this price :).
