My neighbor's son is looking to upgrade his Rocket League machine. I call it that because that's pretty much all he does with it although he is showing some interest in PUBG and Fortnite. He's currently running a 750 ti, 256 SSD and a 2600k with 2 x 4GB filling the only two slots.

Combos are preferred due to bundle and shipping savings, but also open to individual purchases. A 1060 is about the right speed for his budget/needs, please let me know if I should consider other GPUs. I'm hoping this will, give or take, hold him a couple years and budget is 250 - 400 max. I'm looking to purchase this weekend with the hope shipping could be Monday or Tuesday.

Thank you for looking.

If you're near a Microcenter, you can buy a new Ryzen 5 1600, AM4 motherboard, and 8gb of ddr4 for $150. Grab a 980ti to go with it, they're between $175-200. Keep the 256gb ssd. Evga has several 600-750w psus on b-stock for $45-50. Whole new system that should last for several years and still under $400. First gen Ryzen is cheap right now, good way to upgrade an old PC.

Evening bump, thanks for looking and if anyone has any advice for this boys upgrade I'm all ears.

Every time I see those great deals at Microcenter I get a little weepy. My kingdom for a Micro Center

While waiting on pricing and payment details I thought I'd give this post a bump. So technically I guess I'm still looking .

I remember when I first joined this forum a post was 18 Pages deep after 6 hours

For $400 I can do a decent combo for you. Hell I'll throw in shipping also.

Evga gtx 1070

I think I found a deal on some memory, power supply and a 1060 and I should hear something soon.

@iwhocurrupts that is a really good deal on a great setup. Evan's board and processor should still have a couple years in them and I would still need a power supply and SSD drive which would break the bank. Hook him up trentchau and thank you for the offer.

Hi, I have a Corsair HX750i 80+ Platinum, Kingston KC300 480GB SSD, and Hyperx 1x8GB 1866Mhz DDR3 for $150 shipped.

Thank you all for the advice and offers, Vanilla Heat hooked me up with everything but the SSD and I think that's the one part I should be buying new anyway.
