Is this a scam? Seller wants me to buy USB hub on Amazon and will pay me

Sorry in advance but I'm not sure where to start this thread. It's a gadget.
I had issue with a audio Bluetooth device which I exchanged emails with seller about 5 times and then I returned it to Amazon.
Now I got an email that sounds like the same person with different email that's asking me to buy an USB hub on Amazon and they will pay me for all fees if I provide them my PayPal and Amazon order. And I have to give them a review on Amazon.
It's a $60 USB hub.
Anyone have Experianex with something like this?
 
No experience with such myself. At the very least, it would seem they're trying to buy good reviews. Could easily be something worse via some angle I'm not seeing.

No fucking way I'd touch it. I'd ignore the e-mail (don't even reply) and spam-filter anything else that comes from them.
 
Money for reviews = they are trying to circumvent Amazon's policies
 
You could put malware/spyware in a hub...

That's the first thing I thought of .

Probably just a rating scam though...

The hub they are talking about already is 4.7 star 651 reviews on amazon. Kinda weird they need more?
But I'm trying to really hard to understand how they could scam? It's not like they are asking me for my full name, address, all my banking info.
Even after 651 reviews they still need more? And it's worth to them to give the $60 hub for free.
What am I not seeing here?

They are trying to get close to top spot which will net them huge sales.
Amazon are trying to root out sellers like this because it undermines the quality of goods on their site.
You have to question how good that hub really is.
Report it.
I had almost the same thing happen, it was reported.
 
So I decided to try it out. I made the order. Sent the screenshot copy with the order number right away. And I received $60 in PayPal today. I haven't even left the review yet.
They used again another email to send the PayPal money.
I really don't understand it. Shouldn't they wait until I do a review? they have asked for that in the email
 
If the agreement was to do a review I would. If it ends up being bogus you can leave another review!
 
Wait till you get the hub, test it out, and then write an honest review. Make sure you put in your review that you received it for free in exchange for a review.

I don't see why this would even be a problem as long as the seller is not just paying people to write fake reviews.

I have seen a lot of reviews on Amazon where the reviewer stated that they received the item for free in exchange for them reviewing it.
 
Got another email, they would like me to give them a review and now they are offering turmeric pills. It's one thing that there could be spyware built into the hub. But no way I wanna take a chance with pills.

HAHAHA! I say let them give you the pills but then write one of those crazy hilarious reviews about them (without actually using any of the pills)... something to do with a near-death out-of-body experience and a trip to the ER and being on life-support and then being committed to a mental institute because of brain damage, etc.
 
check your outgoing network connections now.....see if you are connected to any unknown hosts. I love these "Hey this might be suspicious......what do you guys think...Multiple people you're right...sounds suspicious.....original...went for it anyway...it's free!" Remember there is always an exchange for a product. If a product is free...YOU and YOUR data is most likely the commodity.

It's worth it if they are charging enough for high profit margin
 
Keep it going! Get the pills and see what else they will dish out.
