Rumor that LG is releasing a 49 Inch OLED in 2019...

Is this true ? can anyone verify this ...

that size would be ideal for me because i can use it as monitor ,right now i am using a 49 inch sony xbr9 and i think sucks as a monitor, because the dark levels & angles aren't so great. I heard OLED fixes alot of ot hose issues especially on the 2019 versions.

See this thread. All we really know is that 48" is on LG's roadmap, but with no date. Their new factory comes online later this year which will allow them to increase production capacity (they've been selling all of the 55" and 65" they can make), but IMO it's unlikely 48" will be available this year. 2020 is more likely.

The 2019 lineup has been announced and it doesn't include this model. Doubtful they make a special release for what is to them just a minor extension of the midrange line. 2020 at the earliest, agreed.

Yea it's too early, I think 2020 is pretty safe bet at this point. Launch at CES2020, availability in maybe march. I'm waiting for it too, will likely pick one up immediatly at launch.
