When do you guys usually play? Currently I'm in a clan but I'm lead to believe that they are out of Europe. They schedule raids and such at like 10 -11 am CST and sometimes at like 2-3 pm. Nothing ever even close to when I'm on. Half the time I'm on most are getting offline. Its good for now because i get the clan benefits but i have literally done nothing with them as a clan. Looking for a clan that is on later at night. between 7:30-11 pm CST.

There are people on 24/7, there is actually 10 clans Collective Conscious 1 - 10. One of them is designated as an EU clan. There is always people on discord looking to team up or run raids no matter the time of day.
 
Its insane the amount of "stuff" there is to do right now. Its friday night and I'm finally finished my first character of the week. On tuesday I started at 673 and right now, its 689. My second and third characters are going to slingshot that so hopefully i'll see 700 before reset.

Its overwhelming in the absolute best way if you want to maximize your Powerful Gear drops and I love it.
 
Prime's finally dropping at 700.

Thorn.. whew, that final strike is no joke.

If you're going to attempt it, have a warlock bring Phoenix Protocol.

We call it "the rotation".

What kinda throws this all off is I run Scourge of the Past on Tuesday on all three characters (only takes 20 minutes a run) back to back so I get +8 drops right off the bat. Ideally high level rewards should be kept for last. This also goes for the weekly raid challenge which we usually do. Except for that one.. screw that one...

This article goes into detail but this is our rotation. This week got all screwed up as lots of time was spent on a single character doing Thorn and the Allegiance bounty.

Hit the tower and pickup all the bounties you can carry. I leave Gambit out (but still grab the Civic Duty stuff) since there is so many.

Then in order, we work on the following that reward Powerful Gear:
  • Flashpoint (Weekly)
  • Heroic Adventure in that week's Flashpoint (Daily)
  • Daily Heroic Story Mission x3 (Weekly)
  • Crucible x5 (Weekly and Daily)
  • Strikes x3 (Daily and Weekly)
  • Complete 20 Challenges for Ikora (Weekly)
  • Clan XP reward and Clan Crucible, Nightfall, Raid, Gambit completions (Weekly)
  • Nightfall completion (Weekly)
  • Nightfall high score (Weekly) (Do the completion and 100k separate so the first drop has a chance at raising your overall)
  • Spider Wanted Bounty (Weekly)
  • The Dreaming City activities, including Petra's Weekly Bounties for the Ascendant Challenge and weekly mission
  • Black Armoury Forges (2x Powerful Frames available each week per character)
  • Gambit x3 (Daily and Weekly)
  • Gambit Prime
  • Reckoning (Tier 3 at this point)
  • Xur Bounty
At this point, you'd also have your raids, however only Scourge is dropping the +8's. Last Wish, sadly, is only dropping +4's at most from what I've seen. Shame that make a raid that unhelpful that quickly.

There are also the pinnacle weapons as well. If you picked up the bounty for each pinnacle weapon (I only grabbed the Vanguard and Gambit one) on all three characters, only the first one you claim will be Powerful but the other two can be dismantled for 7 cores each. Easy 14 cores. They did a great job tying those into completing the Triumph.


I may add to this as I think of things.
 
My 4 man fireteam all got Spare Rations to drop in Tier 3 Reckoning tonight. I did not.

Need help, a little confused on what to do now ?

I play very casually, just a few nights a week, half or so at a time. I am level 50, and i505. What am I supposed to be running now at this iLvl ? How do I gain better gear specifically ?

Do the Drifter quests first they all drop 640 gear.....you will level up in a matter of hours.

Sorry I feel lost in D2 at times, where do I get those quests specifically ? And which type of game mode am I then running ? Gambit, Strikes ?
 
Zorachus - the Drifter is in the tower.. you would go chat with him (far bottom left) to start the missions.. same with the armory ones.
 
D2 is horribly laid out for making it clear on what you need to do and where to go to get it. Without things like Braytech.org, DIM and /r/DestinyTheGame, I don't know how I would know anything about Destiny at all.

Up until about 20 minutes ago, I thought encounting the Tier 3 boss in Tier 2 Reckoning was a bug. However just now /r/DestinyTheGame is telling me its normal and its a rotation. I scoured the TWAB's about this with no note of it. I'm told that dmg_04 (a destiny community manager) confirmed on Twitter that its normal. How is the general population supposed to know this? I'm pretty in the loop but I never saw anything about this on the front page of /r/DestinyTheGame.

The Drifter is one of the many in game Vendors that have bounties to complete. He's found in the Annex section of the Tower which is your main social hub and where a good portion of the non-planetary vendors are located. Basically every play session should start at the Tower and pick up relevant bounties for the activities you want to play. To be effective, you should always have bounites you're working on whenever playing an activity.

Any bounty you pick up will be trackable via the Pursuits tab in your inventory. You'll always be going here to read each bounty and how to complete it.

The Drifter specifically has "Power Surge" Bounties right now that drop guaranteed 640 power level gear so you'll want to do all of them.

If you have look on the map you will find the drifter and he will have you do a few different quests and you will get the 640 gear. 1 is doing a gambit match. There are 2 others that require different quests for each.

Just keep in mind the rewards are BLUE,I deleted one of my power up rewards before I realized they give you blue ll640 items not purple lol.
 
Really? Ouch, yeah I'm so used to auto-dismantling blues I would have screwed myself big time.
 
Hey guys I'm working on getting my third seed of light, but after completing the gateway between worlds yesterday and this morning and presenting the offering I either got no chest at all (yesterday) or the loot chest gave the purification ritual (today), but no seed of light.

From reading around I thought that when the curse is at its highest in the Dreaming City such as yesterday I should've gotten the seed? Do I have to wait until next week? What I'm I doing wrong? What I'm I missing?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Well on another note I finally got the Malfeasance hand cannon! That thing is a beauty. Had to rely on teammates to complete the opposing team wipes, but that's ok. I got soo close 2-3 times, but the timer just ran out on me.
 
I dunno about you guys but I grinded out 21% Delirium just to have it (it SHREDS btw) but i've been taken by Division 2. Its very, very good.

Me, too. I needed a break from this. Div2 is a perfect "apples/oranges" complement for something very different.

I'm kind of gradually sliding back into this a little bit but Div2 is definitely on the front burner now.

Looks like a bunch of us have been taken by the Div2. I've been leveling it out with some buddies at work. Its a really fun game.

Hur-hur-hur.. thanks Destiny 2.. I was about to wind down my time to just plinking away at the Wander triumph and, after two super f'n successful gambit rounds on my part, I am now on the Malfeasance quest. Thankfully my new vidjacard makes it look all pretty. Probably helped for my wins.
 
I havent picked up The division 2 yet. I finally got whisper last night. Waiting for iron banner to start on reset and I'll finish up that part of thorn.
 
Holy buckets.. the 'Corrupted' mission attached to the Malfeasance quest (stage 2?) is stupid fierce.. says 580, but I'm rolling 655 and getting greased two hops out of the starting gate. Time to rethink this.

Yeah I can't imagine soloing that. The boss phase is ROUGH. It's basically a nighfall on a high multiplier. Full fireteam highly recommended.
 
I'm starting to tip 690 ll now. Probably spent 80 enhancement cores to keep my gear up to where I want it at this point. I think I came into this expansion with ~150. I was also hit with the bug that caused nearly all of my "powerful" rewards to drop at 0 to +1. That kinda zapped my desire to blast through to 700. Currently running a nova bomb warlock with the skull of ugliness. Currated threat level, right side of wrong, and prospector/coil/boop cannon for weapons. It's a blast.
 
my hunter and warlock are both 692, my titan is still sitting at 650. For the longest time warlock was my least fave, but I've been running nova bomb with the ugly hat and it melts bosses
 
I'm at 660 or so on my Hunter. I hit 700 on my Titan last night. I've also managed to bring a few weapons I don't use all the time to 700 as well.

I did this mission the other night. I had two warlocks with me and between my Hammer of Sol and their Nova bombs, we burned him in seconds.

Come to think of it, I bet it's much easier now. Pretty sure we were at or under leveled at the time and we sure didn't have the new Nova bomb. I should run that again, it was pretty cool.
 
*cough* Ah.. if anyone is on PC and wants a rando warlock to join up for that Malfeasance mission on given night I may know a guy. ;)

The regular enemies will still mess you up quickly. They are still hard to deal with. The thing is, some of the adjustments to supers and some power weapons makes the boss easier. Wardcliff Coil, etc. all got buffed as did the grenade launchers. If you get an aggressive frame or precision frame grenade launcher with spike grenades, you can break the damage counter with every shot like your using Golden Gun and Celestial Nighthawk.
 
Before logging into Division 2 for most of Saturday, I hit up the Forges for my last 4 frames.

I can tell you i'm never forging another weapon again. Ever.

Totes limited edition or something. Currently down to grinding out the Mercury and Mars areas to fill out the weapons.. and I should get wayfayer. Gave up on the idea of being over the top good enough at gambit for that pin.. even though the snakes are fancy looking.

go turn those in and save a boat load from the $777,777.77 price tag!

I got the curated Hammerhead, which actually has the perks I wanted. Its' very similar to the best Hammerhead I had forged already with 6,000 kills on it. I sent that one to my Hunter and I'm using the curated one on my Titan. After making more than 20 of those things I'm never doing another one of those. I still need to get a better Tatara Gaze, Spiteful Fang, and Blast Furnace. I got a pretty good sword, which I never use and my Kindled Orchid is also about as good as they get. I would like the curated one, but that's it. So I may make more of those. I won't do swords as I just don't care. Many of the Tatara Gaze rifles I've made are garbage. I get perks like firmly planted and moving target on the same gun.
