The Division 2

For those that are finding the game harder in solo - are you using your 'V' button to renew your armor kit? You should be able to use it 3x I think - unless you have upgraded how many armor kits you can carry.

Also - if you are using them and still having troubles...you might consider getting the drone that repairs armor as well.

I use my armor kits all the time, lol.

BUT, I didn't know the drone repaired armor. Doh... I already picked the seeker grenade and the torrent.

Am I able to get those points back to put into another skill?

Nope. I made the mistake of unlocking the Pulse, So far its been less than useless. 3/4 of the time it never picks up any enemies. Feels like it only goes out like 20 feet or so. My next two unlocks were turret and healing drone

The tracking data says it was delivered but It wasn't at my door when I got home. I doubt it was stolen by someone as I got home about 15 minutes after the tracking said it was delivered. I also live in a pretty quiet neighborhood with lots of older people that like to watch out there windows all day. My guess is they delivered it to the wrong house but who knows. If it doesn't show up by the time I get home from work tonight then I will have to contact Newegg and see where it goes from there.
Still no package when I got home. Looks like I wont be playing at all this weekend. Have fun without me agents.

Dumb question: Is there a rewards vendor in this like there was in the first game? If so, where is it/how do you gain access to it? It seemed like they just let you use that Stash inbox and bypassed that sort of thing but maybe I'm wrong?

There is no Rewards Vendor now. Like Xerack mentioned, go to your Stash and you'll find it in your mailbox, top right.

This is a good reminder to check your "Rewards" in the Uplay interface. Most the stuff in there has to be activated before it shows up ingame.

Good. Glad I didn't miss any detail like that. :)

Well shit, that sucks!

I don't like how you have to go to the safe house in an area to unlock the shade tech in that zone. I keep finding it on the way to the safe house.

Yeah there's a few things I'm a little "meh" about. But overall the game is fantastic. Art and atmosphere are AAA+.

Really enjoyed division 1, how does this compare when it comes to exploration and single player experience? I also liked roaming the dark zone on my own in the first game...it got nervy at times.

Yea no overall I think the game is good. I do wish the side missions didn't scale with your level though, let me go grind up my stats and just tear through them.

The only major complaint I have is with the side missions, I wish it let me go to them and match make like the main ones.

Always glad to see Marco doing the math for us. I really wish Massive left the DPS stat in the game. It’s only an indicative stat, but it’s really useful for comparing weapons and builds. As it stands now you have to go to the shooting range and do some testing.

That’s a good video. I hope he keeps doing these sort of intermediate “things I’ve leaned along the way” videos.

Glad i'm not the only one. I've died a few times now and thought I just sucked.

Maybe we both just suck?

I been dying quite a bit, sometimes due to me flying in a bit overconfident and then getting owned by adds that spawn in a bad spot. Helps to play with a bit of carefullness.

I also went to so a new q I got but did not look at it b4 hand so ended up as a lvl 10 in a lvl 14 quest, that was challenging (it was easier at the start though) added stress factor there was a message about the server going offline in XX mins and I felt I was not going to make it, but the server did stay up a while after the timer expired so I made it trough.

This should answer your question, and anyone else considering the game:

Division 2 is first 15 mins of the video

Lastly, I just want to say.... this game has the best dust I have ever seen in a game. GOTY!!

This is probably 80% of my deaths. When I'm teamed up for a main mission, confidence is through the roof, lol.

I was at one of the Settlements tonight, in menu sorting through my gear before going to the Vendor, when I notice a kid walk up next to me and was just standing there staring at me. So, I exited menu and faced him, then Saluted (which I do to a lot of NPC's, lol). To my utter surprise, he saluted me back and says "Military Present"; then smiles and walks off.

The detail they put in this game, it's impressing me time and again.

The game definitely has teeth if you're playing solo and I'm still debating with myself if it's harder than the first. It makes up for it a little bit with what I still feel is slightly improved gunplay, hitboxes, and general accuracy. It's still bullet spongey to be sure as one expects in Division but it seems more reasonable to that end if you find the weaknesses or hit the right headshots and so forth.

Just got my game key off the sale/trade sub forum for $30, always nice to get a wicked deal lol, downloading the game now so I can play tongiht

After playing a while I think it comes down to a few things. I think the enemies are spawning from more locations and from more directions. I've noticed a few times where they end up spawning right next to me(as in I can see them spawn). More locations in this seem to have set areas that you should be taking cover from so you don't get railed. I've ended up eating it a few times because of this, you go back and take a better location and it isn't bad.

Honestly too the auto revive med kit the first had was a life saver as well, you don't get that here.

PvP..but no full on multiplayer? I played the beta and the map would be so awesome for some real full on 30 vs 30 multiplayer or something or even 15 vs 15 type games..

Trying to keep up, let me know if I've missed you. Make sure you're taking advantage of the Clan Vendor, by comparison he offers better items than any of the other Vendors.

I didn't play the 1st game so bear with me. Is it better to sell items or break them down? I've mostly just been breaking them down, but I'm only at level 10.

People are actually recommending not breaking much down until you finish the main story and hit 30 because you donate goodies to settlements and that helps everything else.

I'll let the vets correct me if I'm wrong there.

Correct!

Honestly, if yon save 10 of each equip slot on your stash, you should be fine until 30 and then you can break everything else down for crafting components

Lots of useful info:

EDIT: Hunters are back...

After you hit level 30, you can start hunting the Hunters. From what I'm seeing, they have the most challenging AI in the game.

This time around you can also transfer a talent from one weapon to another through Recalibration, so if you find a low power weapon with a good talent you want to save it for higher levels.

Any time really, now. You'll need to progress the story along so you can "unlock" clans. Just keep doing main story missions and the side missions in each zone, and you'll get there in no time.

Anytime after unlocking the White House you can participate in COOP. It may help to find someone in the Clan menu close to your rank, but this isn't as much of an issue as it was in D1. The game gives enemies and loot at each player's level, so lower level players no longer have to hide in the back, and higher level players will still get relevant drops.

I did notice Enemy Control Points I unlocked in another player's session were not unlocked in mine. Not sure if this is intended or bug, but it may affect some players willingness to COOP until they've progressed further (or it gets fixed / changed).

There are 3 missions required to unlock the Clans. There is a Guide a page or so back in this thread.

Anyone notice that when playing with other Clan Member, their names are the same color as D1's Elite Named enemies? Another little detail I thought was cool.

Weapons I like so far:

  • (LMG) M60 & 249B, my most used weapon. You just cannot beat a 100 rd mag with this kind of damage in this game. Especially where Elites and Bosses are concerned
  • (SMG) MP7 with the Talent that gives extended magazine size (I dont use the weapon mods yet, I still think they are a waste)
  • (AR) Mk16 & TAR 21, they both beam pretty well with good damage
  • (Shotgun) No preference yet, don't use them enough
  • (Sniper) Tactical M700 & SRS
  • (Rifle) Another weapon I rarely use. Most encounters turn into close encounters if they go on for more than a minute. Semi-auto just cannot get the job done in my old, slow hands.

Just goes to show how different all of our play styles can be. I freaking love rifles, they feel great in this game (even in my old slow hands). For me, so far:

LMG - RPK
SMG - MP5
AR - M4 and CTAR
Shotgun - don’t care, only use them every now and then. SASG and AA-12 seem to be good.
Sniper - all seem the same to me
Rifle - all are great, SIG and MK17 are my favorites so far.

Also there is a menu option to change the speed of rounding corners in cover. It defaults to slow but you can change it to fast. I recommend changing it to fast.

Add me! Uplay name is Crispy001. Thanks!

Edit--saw it was open join HardOCP. Got in.
