I require:-minimum 2 DP.
I would like to have:-DL-DVI
Budget: around $350

My thoughts:

1070- very cheap used, can still be found new, prices have not come down yet.
1660ti- new, cheap, 130w, small card
Vega 56: draws a lot of power, OCs a lot. Can be found new, prices have not come down much.
1070ti: only found used, not much better than 1660ti or 2060
2060- new
Vega 64- used, hot like hell, at this price range mostly stock cooler
1080- used, almost outside my budget.

What i play: Fighting games, (action)RPGs and strategy games at 1440p 60Hz, 1080p 120-240Hz, 4k 60-120Hz.
I always balance image quality and refresh rate, Vsync ON.

For that price, the RTX 2060 is probably your best bet. I see a few models for $349. Plus you can buy new, with warranty, etc.

I bought the ZOTAC one, it's coming tomorrow for one of my test rigs if you want to hear what I think.

From what I read, it should be great for 1080p (even high refresh) but for 1440p you will be at 60Hz and 4K may be a stretch (unless with old games or lower settings).

I have a 1660 Ti as well, it's nice for 1080p and could probably tackle 1440p (I tried DSR and was able to play a few games at 4K even, with medium settings).

But if you think you want 4K, it's probably worth the extra spend on the 2060 in that price range.

I played some ARPG's in 4K with a RX580 8gb and really had no issues with that genre usually staying in around 40-50fps.
Older titles like D3, PoE etc. But newer ones like WH40K Inquisitor - Martyr needed settings lowered quite a lot.

I have a RTX2070 (Link) coming in the mail today, should be an improvement.

I looked at all the options the OP mentioned and came to the conclusion that I just needed a bit more than those to be happy....

Tho a used 1080 would probably be ok too, I just want warranty when spending over $300.

Sometimes you just gotta pay up.

2070-Not much value there these days: a bit faster than a 1080, but more expensive than a used 1080ti
1080Ti- - used, great value. outside my budget
2080- saw those for $660 last week. great card but...
Radeon VII- Its either way above MRSP or vaporware. At $700 its a good card because 16GB epeen

I found a brand new sealed EVGA FTW 1080 for $350 on these forums in the classified section a couple weeks back. A 1080 is the best choice of those you listed. Keep your eyes pealed for a RMA replacement or something that the user never reinstalled.

Next I’d chose an aftermarket Vega 64. The sapphire Tri Fan Vega 64 was $385 a couple weeks ago. Hold for a sale. Don’t buy reference blower Vega. Too loud.

next I’d look for a used 1070ti for $275ish because you know they aren’t that old.

1070s are still grear cards and you can find them used all day long for $200-$225.

All I'm saying is that if the 2070 ends up running the games I play at decent frame rates in 4k then I'm cool.

$500 and 3 year warranty sounds about what the market for midlevel 4k gaming is at.

Navi might change that down the road.

Totally go for a used 1080 if you don't need a full warranty tho.

I picked up Radeon VII, because i have huge Samsung nu8000 75" with freesync and VVR.

I'm going get my feet wet in some Water Cooling, It's not noise, I want every bit performance I squeeze out!

I've been waiting for years do Water Cooling, Its right time and right :D

My GTX 1080TI FE /w H50 Mod, Is collecting dust lol, I will sell it when i get time and have time clean out dust bunnies!

Yeah, if you want to do 4K FreeSync (on Samsung TVs) then Radeon VII is the way to go.

It's a nice card, but I think above the budget set in the OP.

I bought it from member off forums here, I'm not expecting what some these crazy people want lol, I'd like it pay for my some my upgrade not all of it tho, I have my I7-5820k+Asus X99+16gb i'll be getting rid of after i get my new cpu and board, I'm doing all this work, I'm going do it right and make it look badass!

If you aren't opposed to WC'ing OP, I have a golden VEGA 56 that will run with a 2060+ in most games for a good price (see Fs/FT) and a W'C'd VEGA 64 that is also a super clocking card. I priced them to move (the blocks are $150+ on eBay). PM if interested.

If you are coming from a gtx 970, dont settle for any less than 1070Ti performance.
1070 is just not worth the effort.

I would say go with the RTX 2060, but the ones with 2 DP + 1 DL-DVI seem to go for $399 and up.

Maybe you can snag a used GTX 1080 for around $350.00 here on the forums.

I have New Thermal Paste on GTX 1080TI FE H50 mod /w Stock Blower Cooler and Box.

I Picked up Radeon VII and im enjoying it, I'm taking path of WCing! I might be willing part ways with 1080TI FE i have, Hell might freeze over lol.

I’m looking at buying an RTX 2600 for an egpu. I’m not clear on if it will work in an Akitio egpu box.
Can anyone help on this? Hopefully I posted this in the right place...

Honestly, I don't know that you're going to get anything "new" with a DVI on it. and 2 display ports.
You're probably better off going with an adapter for DP-to-DVI

Looking Around RTX 2060's are sitting around 380-400?

I'm kinda thinking selling mine for $400-$425+shipping Nvidia GTX 1080TI FE Hybird/H50,

It is not required, just that at same price/performance. DL-DVI is a plus for my usage scenario and resell value in my country.

2 DP on the other hand are the minimum, because Zisworks kits require 2 DP for 4k 120hz operation.

I couldn't be happier with my Powercolor Golden Sample RX580. Plays 1440 on the Massdrop x Vast monitor all day long!

I'm really sub-level in knowledge on computer components. But that said, I'm more familiar with the Nvidia software since my laptop has the Nvidia 960M. (GeForce yadda yadda).
Trying to keep it simple for a simpleton ;). Is there anything else I need to know about the Radeon install?
Also, I'm wondering what the RX580 compares to in the Nvidia lineup....

The 580 is neck and neck with a 1060, beating it in most games, but losing in others.

If your budget is $350 why not get this one? Seems to be popular for a price/performance standpoint. It is what I am putting in my new system and I'm coming from a 750 Ti.

My main concern is compatability with the Node. I just don't want to spend a lot of time trying to suss out what went wrong.

$300 is about my budget, but if I was sure a 2060 was going to work in a NOde than I'd buck up.

I play mostly Ubisoft games, FC etc. Assassins Creed etc. But I;m chufgging along at 30FPS max on 'normal' settings using my external monitor.
Things could be better. I was stuck on one of the Gigabyte egpu's but they do't seem to be very reliable...

I don't know enough about Gigabyte's egpu's....but I do know the 580 is better in FC and AC then the 1060 is.

Well at the moment I’m stuck with an eBay bid for the Asus... I’ll know more in 2 hours...

the value to me seems to be 1070s, I got one for 159.99 shipped a couple months ago.

it does 2k ultra @ 75 fps in just about everything I have tried it on my monitor is 75 refresh rate so I don't know if it runs it even higher, I leave vsync on.

I also finally was able to run mein leiben settings on wolfenstein, it had been so long I don't really notice the difference from my first play through on high settings, but it still looks pretty awesome. Game is too on rails for another playthrough to be as much fun as I thought it would be.
