Just wondering if anyone else has picked up any good deals on used video cards since these two releases?

I've scored an RX 580 Red Devil golden sample (for my rig) and an R9 290x Tri-X 8GB (for the boy) for a combined total that's a LOT less than the original MSRP of the rx580.

Just seems like the used GPU market has tanked with both of these releases coming out recently. (unless you're trying to buy a used 1080 ti or 1070).

It's also because crypto-mining is on a downward slope right now.

Not me but my friends enjoyed similar pricing leading to a lot more people to game with.

I was on the other side, and sold some GPUs at rock-bottom prices.

No worry, though, I like it when I can give a good deal.

I was sand bagging a x58 /290x platform and pricing of AMD allowed me to scale back my power foot print with Ryzen 1600 / RX 580 and the free games means they helped pay for it .

Picked up a MSI Armor RX580 for $125 last month, and a Asus GTX1070ti Cerberus for $280.

Wow, that's way less than 1070ti's go for in my area.

I got my Red Devil GS for $120 from the bay and the 290x for $100 off CL.

I just picked up a RX580 to replace may aging HD7970. I went the new route since Newegg had the Sapphire Nitro+ on sale for $200 plus you get the free games. I was planning on getting The Division anyway so that basically makes it a new card for $140ish. I figure this should tide me over for a couple of years until AMD has Navi sorted out.

I just got a used Strix 1080 ti. Huge upgrade for me coming from a 970.

Not the best deal in the world but a fair price at $500. The best part is the guy took half of the payment in Amazon money which I already had sitting that I got from a job perk.

Bought an RX580 8G months back when 2080s were annouced and started selling for $200 CAD and still had warranty, i wasn't complaining!

My R9 280 pairs up nice to a 2200g which is switch able between Vega 8 , if I could find a cheap ITX board I would go https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA66Z2KU0729 that case with the Club 3D dp to HDMI 2.0 you could do 4K 60Hz from your HD7970 = compact crate

I like the thermal package of the RX 570 8Gb better the my 580 , both being Red Dragon brand.

Me too. I've been playing Shadow of War @ 1080p with freesync/144hz monitor on RX 570/4G. works great. Freesync/G-sync are simply awesome.
