Connecting to USB Data storage device over wired or wireless connection at the same time?

We have these devices that can store data to USB device (hard drive or Flash drive), is there an USB device that I can access over WiFI or wired connection at the same time while the USB device is plugged and being used.
 
Yea pretty much either share the drive or use, \\computername\driveletter$
 
its not a PC, its an industrial Automated screwdriver that saves torque graphs for every screw it inserts. It runs some sort of proprietary OS.

If it was a PC, it would be easy.
 
I *think* that there is some software for Raspberry Pi's that allow you to plus a USB cable into the PI and and into a computer and the PI acts as a USB "device" to the computer. But then you can also still log into the PI through SMB from other computers to access the storage on the PI. I didn't look too far in to it, and it sound like the software out there was "beta" at best.
