Here's my official pictures my Amd Radeon VII!!!!

I'm normally not big on RGB Builds, I pick case up for $80 on Amazon on sale.

Radeon goes nice red on red, it matches. When I play horde on wow lol.

I downloaded it from amd.com, d/led v1.06 x64. Clicked it, cmd window popped up seen writing for second then went away.

Gpu-z let's me save UEFI File, it shows as Vegs 20.rom, 512kb bios file

I tried running the x86 file, and I get the same thing. Window pops up for a second then disappears. According toe GPU-Z my BIOS has not changed.

Suggestions?

Thank you! Last nice build I had was, i7 2600k and Amd 6970 build lol.

I'm honestly thinking doing water cooling on Radeon VII and I'd pick up ryzen 2600 or 2700, or keep my i7 5820k 4.4ghz and just build water cool setup.

This Radeon VII has me wanting do water cooling, I see alot performance in the card, its heat and temps but water cool it and problem solved

Honestly, Favorite Color's, Blue. 2nd is Red, 3rd is Black, And white always looks nice in case :) Yeah I do like red alot playing horde and seeing red does that lol.

Yeah man, I was playing horde, and I got the case and bought 34" monitor had RGB strip in back, I turned Red and turned Case Red.

I got idea from watching submarine movies, red is way easier on my eyes. Lol!

Time hunt and read W/C guides, I seen there's Radeon VII waterblock on preorder! I wonder if there's any reviews or it'd be worth taking?!

Missing the damn Relive tab....again. (Was missing before I pulled my V64 and cleaned 19.2.3 with DDU)

Anyone else have that happen with AMD's Radeon settings?
I'm tired of the DDU song and dance that will eventually bring it back...Can only sit through the driver installs so many times before I lose my mind.

Time to do a little testing!
 
I will post more pics of temps and benchmarks of my sexy AMD Radeon VII card!!! Been testing for past few hours, So far, She maxxes memory out 1170mhz, 1.087v/+15 power, Ran 2 20 e/a loops 3dmark Fire Strike performance and ultra.

Im using my 34" 3440x1440 dell w3415u and cap fps at 60, I run benchs at 4k, Maxes out gpu

I didn't think, I'd Like Radeon VII, I'm Gald I'm Wrong and I kept it! This Card loves be tweaked, takes me back old day's first amd i owned.

My mom got it for me as xmas gift! Compaq Amd Duron 700mhz, pc100 128mb x2 256mb, 20gb hdd, ATI Radeon DDR 64mb. last time i had all Amd, Until now.

Yeah, people don't know what they are missing.

I wasn't even going to buy one at first, but it ended up being a great decision.

Especially once I got to tweaking it, much more fun than Nvidia.
 
I remember day or two ago, I had heat and temp problems.

I had idea and temp solution to problem at hand! I had extra 120mm fan with high air flow,

Took off slots covers, Next zip ties in fan screw holes, fans blowing hot air out.

Heres my work, I did best what I have on time, until I get ready but, Watercooling for Cpu and Radeon VII. :D

Who all here is getting their memory clocks stuck at 1000mhz? Mine is sticking and getting annoying. Sometimes its 350mhz, sometimes its stuck at 1000mhz. A restart will fix it for like 10 mins.. Then back up it goes. Anyone having this issue?
 
Gulkor that looks so good in red and white! I was a regular Horde player too back when I had time. :)

I'm doing white on my case fans and blue on the motherboard right now to go with the blue on my sapphire vega 56, but if I end up with a VII I'm switching the motherboard to red. :) thinking about picking up a Corsair H115i pro so I could color coordinate that as well. Can't do it right now because the sapphire is too long (seriously, these nitro cards are ginormous).

[edit] oh my god trixx lets you change the color on this thing now? I thought it was permanently blue, which just felt wrong for an AMD GPU. It's so, so red now.
 
Update, Opened up Radeon VII, Applied new thermal paste and added 2 small washer's feel tiny gap, My Temps are Way Better, Noise Way better, Even tho i run fans @ 80-90% get most speed :D

Core's hitting Avg 1805 Mem Avg 1275+ , Memory wants Overclock like bad out of hell.

Junction Temp Was 109 I believe, But i never seen it go that high on my screen, i must missed it, yeah Radeon VII became more of beast now! I might go the Aio route

The Pad Wasnt even hardly touching, a tiny bit was stuck to gpu die.

Gulkor How do you have your fans setup?

I have the 3 front and the 2 rear as intake and the 2 top fans as a "chimny" exhaust (since I'm running a stock CPU cooler not an AIO). I'm not OCing the CPU (just the auto / XFR stuff) so the temps are good. But I dig the idea of sticking another fan in the rear case as another intake for the dead air space below the GPU. Does the VII fan spit hot air into the case or blow out the back? Anyone happen to know offhand? I'm at work, so no way to check :-D

I have 3 front intake fans, 2 top exhaust fans, 1 top back fan exhaust, 1 buttom fan exhaust as well. My reason for it, I have Aio on Cpu, Rad fans blow hot air out top, 3 front fans bring cold air in, 2 back fans push hot air out of case. forcing hot air by Radeon VII go out back of case.

I did take her apart and clean die, put new thermal paste and put few washers on there, tiny reds for pc's project's, and also i might get 400 grit sand paper sand Heatstink connection flat, I spent good 30 mins cleaning it with Arcticlean, I had copper so shinny you could see anything out of it lol, and also i kinda could tell, it wasn't flat make best contact.

My highest Tjunction temp has been 80-85c with fans at 90%, I dont hear them either lol and if i do i know there doing there job keeping my Radeon card cold!
 
I Found Sweet spot until I Water Cool My Beasty Radeon VII, Radeon VII is Armed with fresh new thermal paste, all temps are after new paste, I'm Using Wattman For my O/C as well.

I7 5820k 4.4ghz Vcore 1.29v / ddr4 2666 4x4gb 16gb / samsung 970 evo 512gb o/s / main games / M.2 + 2x 512gb SSD's / Total 1.5TB / My Beast Radeon VII 1850 / 1200 / vcore 1.025 / BW 1.2tb's Stable T/Jtion Maxxed 99C / cards pulls 285 watt's, running 3dmark stressing/benching.

Stock Settings was vcore 1.082v / Core 1.75GHZ / Mem 1GHZ Memory / Power + 10-20%

I tried Vcore 1.086v / core @ 1.95Ghz / Mem 1.1Ghz / Power +15% ||

I am Currently sitting

VCore 1.025V / Core 1.85Ghz / Mem 1.2GHZ / Power 0% || Bandwidth 1228.8 GB/s :D

I honestly Thought I'd regret buying it, But I have no regret's at all, I'm glad i spent every penny, I have back-up gtx 1080ti fe / h50 mod or sell it if need be lol
 
Has anyone seen any good modding guides (power, ect.) or things we should do for watercooling?

I don’t get my mobo until wednesday and waterblock til end of march/april but was tempted to mod it beforehand. Generally for nVidia I load a higher watt bios and hard power mod. Pretty blind to amd.
 
This morning been reading and looking up parts for water cooling, I found EKWB have Water Block end march / middle April.

My Case Max 280mm Rad Top / Max 360mm Rad Front.

Bykski Released First Radeon VII Full Cover Water Cooling Block. AliExpress Selling on there.

Apparently Bykski is a Chinese company and EK is Slovenia. Not sure if that matters to you. Both blocks release about the same time.

Its on Aliexpress WB priced around $90-$95 with shipping, or federal tax if you have that get package from over sea's.

Seller Sold 15 Radeon VII Water Block's.

I never bought something over sea's, The Aliexpress seems be legit and so do seller's.

This Beasty Card needs Beasty Cooling, Card's true performance open up once under water.

I'm Doing a lot for first time again lol,

Going do stock cooler mod, I bought Sand paper. and I wouldn't lapping xbox, just get better heat contact with hsf.

I dont mind noise and fans, I want everything run cold and loud, rather then hot and loud lol
 
After a couple of different dates provided by FedEx, I finally got it installed.

Only one issue I seem to have so far. When I change anything in WattMan, the memory frequency drops to 800Mhz until I reboot. This is for any change I make, even simply changing the fan speed. Seems like a bug to me.
 
I have not experienced that issue with Wattman. I noticed this known issue in the latest AMD driver notes:

"Modifying memory clocks on Radeon VII in Radeon Wattman may intermittently result in memory clocks becoming locked at 800Mhz."

Try going to an older driver. I'm on 19.2.3 and it is working.

Thanks, should have checked the notes. I will probably just wait until a new release fixes it.

Grats on New Card! Welcome to Club!

I haven't had memory being stuck at "800Mhz" I hope it don't happen, or old school i go.

Download whole package, Install Driver only. Boom done, lol, I perfer MSI Afterburner for overclocking my Gpu's
