The Division 2

Dat 14GB system RAM usage reminds me of NMS. How long had you been playing when you took that screenshot?
no idea what NMS is......its only using that much ram cause i have Momentum Cache enabled and it sets aside so much as a disk cache for my 2tb micron ssd. (it might be using up to 4gb at most)

kinda running low on memory though right?;)

I played for about an 2.5 hours.

Felt like.... Division 2 heh

I lagged out/got stuck in-place a couple times but I'll attribute that to the beta.

- Basically, cool game but too similar to the original to hold my attention for very long..

Enjoy guys!!

No Man's Sky. That's cool, I thought the game was a RAM whore. :D

I never played the Division, so this is my first time playing this. I have to say i'm really enjoying it. I've still got a lot to come to grips with as far as the gameplay goes. But it runs very smoothly all maxed at 4k. I might very well end up buying this.

Yeah, i'm impressed with how well this game is running. At first in DX11 mode it had some issues, but in DX12 mode both CPU and GPU power usage goes up which tells me it's generally tapping into more resources better - And it's apparent in how smooth the game is.

My only technical issue is the same as the first game - The audio engine kind of sucks. There is a channel cap or something, and certain sounds just aren't heard. They really need to fix this aspect of the engine.

I ran into the same thing a couple times...so it must be a beta bug.

And the people complaining about paying 60 dollars......i think pretty much every day someone is selling a amd reward code for at most 20 bucks......Doesn't help intel people but the rest of us can buy it cheap

One of the few games where dx12 actually runs better as well.

Really? I’ll have to give it a go.

FYI DX12 introduced a nasty bug for me where indoor environments slowly increase in brightness until the screen is completely saturated in white. Going back to DX11 fixes it. It’s already been reported on the official forums so the devs should be aware of it.

Must be only an nvidia issue.....i have yet to run into anything like that with an amd gpu

I gonna say this game should be played with 16GB ram Min and 32GB wouldn't hurt......8GB vram min for gpus and over 8gb wouldn't hurt...as in i bet the radeon 7 does quit well with this game even at 4k

I have had a few ctd type crashes and i wonder if its running out of memory when it crashes? Look at my cpu usage lol.....i cant imagine trying this on anything less than 4c/8 thread cpu

Big deal with the pandemic killing everyone, the real issue is all this dam garbage and trash left everywhere lol (all the sick people already die?)..... I still enjoy playing it, especially after i remembered the v key apply's a medkit when i really need one.

Thankfully they provided a lot of options in the graphics menus to dial this thing in but it's definitely going to be taxing some hardware depending on settings and configuration.

Anyone noticing any OP builds in OB? Game has been fun thus far, my only gripe is I feel the skills are pretty lackluster for the most part. I honestly don't feel the need to use a lot of them.

I own the original division but didn't get too far into it. Played the beta this morning for a few hours and I have to say that it seems they improved the game play. Game feels fluid and is a lot of fun. Might actually pick this up.

The original Division was super-well optimized! I expect D2 to be the same once it's "settled in"..

I think so, too.

Considering this has been beta status I have to say overall well I'm into positive territory and impressed.

Yeah, the Division series and Titanfall2/Apex Legends have been the two engines that have really done it right.

I played The Division and Titanfall 2 on what was basically an overclocked i7-860 and a GTX 960 4GB; silky-smooth at 60 fps pretty close to maxed out at 1080p.

That, is a freakin' miracle!

After playing most of last night with the beta, I was relatively impressed. Even though I've clocked in a lot of hours on the original Division, I'll probably wait for a sale before purchasing. I hope some of the game crashes I ran into will get fixed, as the same thing happened whenever I play the original Division (or maybe it's a Nvidia driver issue, as I don't recall it crashing when I played it on a Radeon R9 Fury)

I think the code is valid only for those with a Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 5 2000 series desktop CPU.

Theres been some interesting leaks come out with the Beta. This could be considered mildly spoilery, so I'm going to tag it.

Players have uncovered a much improved Gun Range & Recalibration Station. I'll let the video explain. There are mild story spoilers towards the end involving all the people you will recruit for your BoO, but that was the worst of the spoilers.

Original Reddit thread here.

EDIT: Also, a useful vid on how weapon talents are unlocked in D2:

I really hope the cash I spent doesn't go to waste on the end game. I'm not entirely pleased with the skills coming from a full-on Tactician build (completed the classified set in TD1).

Keep in mind there are a ton of Gear Sets they have not shown us yet. There was a video by Gamespot I posted further up this thread, showing the first 6 pc we've seen so far. I image it will be a week or so after players hit end game before we'll start figuring these things out.

I hope this to be true. I'll be aiming for my multi-seeker mine & turret combo. Hopefully they have the pulse turret as an option by end game.

I put a few hours into the beta, just like Anthem this game doesnt appear to be for me. Unlike Anthem D2 ran well and I was able to actually complete objectives. It runs pretty well on my i5 4750 32GB Ram and 980ti Classified. I'm just not a fan of the over the shoulder 3rd person view. The game took forever to launch the first time but was speedy every time after that. Had one hard freeze of the game that required a forced close with task mamanger.

I did not play the division 1 at all, but I like the premise of the story. Not a must buy for me at this point but it's on my radar.

I know there is a Pulse tied to the Drone, but I dont know of any tied to the Turret. Still too early to say with any certainty. We dont really even know to what extent the Gear Sets, Specialization, or any of their mods are going to effect Skills. Even if not, player feedback could still change a few things even after launch.

Any changes to the weapon attachments? I worked all weekend i didnt get a chance to try the open beta.

I hope theres a pulse option, the lack of one was my biggest pet peeve with the closed beta.

Attachments are improved some but still not great. You still have to think about attachments on the whole, i.e. this muzzle mod (+20% stability, -10% accuracy) combined with this grip mod (+10% accuracy, -8% stability) results in a net +12% stability. I like the idea they’re going for, it just needs to be fleshed out a bit more.

Well i guess the game is totally bugged out on me as i cant leave the jefferson trade center anymore....if i try to walk away it goes loads me right back. Bringing up map SHOULD be able to fast track me back to home base but nope! Thing is i already beat that map already anyway and it gets way harder the more people that join together...its fun but almost comical how stronger the enemy gets.

Anyone have an idea how i can get back to the rest of the game?:(

You’re not using one of the ‘end game’ characters are you? If so they purposely limit the map to a single mission.

Personally I hate the new mod system. Given the depth of the Gear and Weapon systems, I don't know why we needed to add mods that require a spreadsheet every time I want to experiment. If they persist with this system I will probably just ignore them... which I've said as much in their Feedback forums. They are currently neither fun or useful imo.

It would be nice but from the end game classes/skills so far, only the sniper has the drone with pulse. Very handy though.

The game has its issues, but i think it may be the most impressive graphics I have seen yet

just running around exploring is not bad in itself....time will tell how big an area we get to explore

I hope they release info on all of the classes by release. I need to plan out my playthrough from the start so I don't waste time trying 1000 different things & wasting in-game cash.

I personally found this game really dull. Lots of running where that is all it is with no enemies. Not a big fan of just running and using cover every single fire fight. That mechanic needs some more flare to make it interesting. I bought anthem for my son and while it has problems I can say the mission I played there was a lot more fun and satisfying that this game.

Agreed on both. ANTHEM's action with Division 2's polish and structure would be ideal.

Alright, I spoke with Kyle briefly to make sure there were no issues with us creating an [H] Clan, and he kindly gave us the go ahead. So, if there are no objections I'll create it on the 12th when I get access and once people start to join we can discuss any details we want to iron out. This will be a casual PvE & PvP clan, nothing competitive or demanding. Blow stuff up and have fun, that it all.

Cool, I'm in if you'll have me. TomcatTech on uPlay.

I hate to break it to you, while the fight mechanics are good in Anthem.....the world is way more empty than D2.....and zero Endgame content.
