The "Bones" Ruling Exposes Corporate Greed in the Streaming Era

I wanted to like Bones, but anyone who has been to a lab where they store and study osseous tissue knows that it doesn't look like a cross between an emo night club and a Rodeo Drive shoe store. It was one of those shows that felt like the producers and writers researched their source material by watching other Hollywood productions.

I agree. Hollywood does this to everything, they "glitz" it up for "entertainment" value. All the CSI stuff is scientifically laughable but made for a good TV show. Anything having to do anything with computers is all total BS (except maybe Mr Robot). Does the FBI really work or look like "Criminal Minds"? Hell no.

Honestly I think the Mrs only watched it to see "Angel", but she gave up half way through.

"Fox executives lied, cheated and committed fraud at the expense of the show's stars and executive producer Barry Josephson."

People who have already been paid far too much already IMHO. A fucking actor shouldn't make more than a doctor. Don't even get me started on professional athletes.

Why? Other than your personal opinion.

The actor has a far bigger market and is sold to millions, the doctor has a limited market with specific time frames for demand.

Now, on a scale of importance sure, the doctor should be higher rated, but that has nothing to do with a persons/products value. One is very specific and very expensive to a small number of people, the other is wide ranging and cheap but paid for by millions. It is also an issue you need to take up with people over all, not the actor or athletes, people will shell out all kinda money for entertainment or memorabilia, yet wont carry health insurance or have emergency funds.

And on top of all that, we should not lose sight of the fact that this case is about executives defrauding production talent. I don't feel the executives are the good guy here, even if actors do make "too much" by some people's perspective.

Eh. Bones wasn’t that bad. It ended up falling apart in the last couple seasons but I enjoyed watching it and binging it on Netflix after they added the final season.
The last 2 seasons were never suppose to even happen lmao. Season 10 was suppose to be the last season. Fans begged for more so fox gave them more. If you really pay attention to bones you can tell they planned out most every thing from the first ep of season 1 to the last of season 10. Seasons 11 and 12 lacked this as they were basically after thoughts and did not have 10 and 11 years of planning leading up to them. So the last 2 seasons while still damn good were not nearly as good as the previous 10. The closed up some plot holes and the like that they likely originally planed on closing with a movie or 2. Bones was no the only series to be brought back as ither a movie or add on season. 2 that come to mind firefly and farscape. Both canceled both had wrap ups done to tie up loose ends. Farscape could in fact be coming back if the cast crew directors etc have any thing to say about it heh. As for fox and this law suit eh they are a media giant and greed does take hold same as with any other mega corp. But the fact is what would the stars reaction be if fox came to them with a mvoie script for a bones movie? How fast would they jump at the chance to revamp their roles and get back together? You can tell that most of them were not just co stars but damn good friends as well and they had to love the show yeh im sure the money was great but no matter how great the money if you do not love your job you will move on. They stayed with it for over 12 years (don't forget while we see 12 seasons of 40 somethign minute episodes they were at work on it for the first season fr something close to a year before it aired. You do not stick with the same job for 13 years unless you honestly love what you are doing. That includes loving the show it self...

I would love to see Farscape come back.
