We upgraded my brother-in-laws 1060 6GB and I ran a few benchmarks with the great results that I'm passing on for anyone thinking about making the jump.

Games Tested:
Rise of the Tomb Raider 74 FPS to 96
Shadow of the Tomb Raider 53 to 74
Far Cry 5 66 to 86
GTA5 86 to 98
Metro Exodus 44 to 61
Rainbow Six Siege 133 to 195
Steam VR Test 8 to 10.7

These games you'll have to watch the video for side by side:
Anthem
DayZ
PUBG
Fortnite

thanks son just bought one to replace his 1060 and seeing this before it arrives this week is awesome

Pretty solid, I think I'd want at a minimum a 2060 for 1440p gaming. Seems like the 1660ti would be fine as long as you turn down a few settings.

Yeah, the 1660 Ti is great for 1080p. Many games can be maxed out at 60fps, or High settings if you want some breathing room.

I haven't tried 1440p, but my feeling is that would be pushing it too far unless on lower settings. Probably still possible though.

I did run some RTX 2060 1440p benchmarks, Maybe I'll give the 1660 Ti a go at 1440p
