Square Enix has released 14 minutes of Left Alive gameplay. Titled "LEFT ALIVE - Through the Warzone" the trailer showcases the stealth and action elements of the 3rd person shooter. I got excited when I saw the mechs at the 12:27 mark. The game launches onto Steam and PlayStation 4 on March 5, 2019 .

Through the eyes of all three main characters, take a look at how every step and decision made will make or break your way through the dangerous warzone of Novo Slava. Veteran developers, Toshifumi Nabeshima (director, Armored Core series), Yoji Shinkawa from KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS (character designer, METAL GEAR series), and Takayuki Yanase (mech designer, Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X) join forces to create LEFT ALIVE's dark and gritty world.

Nice, 15 minutes of gameplay just saved me $60 or more, just by switching to "Nope". Not seeing anything except what appears to be a semi-pro rendition of Gears of Perfect Dark?

Once I heard "Caution, the enemy is approaching" right at the beginning... immediately I thought "avoid this game". A few minutes later in the video.... ""Caution, the enemy is approaching". Come on. You are in third person. You can't see? The game must tell you? THEN in the video when your character goes to open the door, he opens it IMMEDIATELY. You don't even peak in to see if there are enemies. You don't know what is on the other side of the door... so they want you to be stealthy sometimes, when they want you to. AI seems dumb. You throw smoke and the AI stands there like statues, rather than trying to reposition. Also the 3rd person animation of your character needs more work, It seemed robotic. This is the view you will have all game, best to spend a lot of effort to make it the best.

I agree with everything ^^^^. Just adding to it, though. "Your body armor is taking damage" and when he is in the mech, "You are taking damage, begin evasive maneuvers". I thought "Holy Shit, its a nanny built into the game".

Yeah, it's checking off some of my [No] boxes. Most of what everyone has said above - it doesn't feel like an open stealth game. When I'm playing in third person and see my char do a forward body roll I think of Galaxy Quest. And I don't care for third person.

it took me a moment to realise this was square enix. It looked like the next shallow attempt konami does with the fox engine

lol that first enemy it shoots at doesn't even respond. She just murders him and it does nothing....

that and bullet sponges.

I guess Wanzer = Walker + Panzer?

The textures and the level design do zero for me. Looks bland.
The first couple seconds I was thinking I somehow switched to watching a jim sterling asset flip impressions video :)

I haven't watched the rest yet, but why's his jacket opened and where's his touque?
On the bright side they're not doing the ubisoft/ea fake chit chat, but I suppose it isn't a MP game.

Fuck you SquareEnix. Stop dragging Front Mission through swamps filled with shit. Was murdering the franchise with bullshit like Front Mission: Evolved not enough for you douchebags!?

I might be slightly against this game's very existence.

Yoji Shinkawa from KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS (character designer, METAL GEAR series), .
Wow couldn't even deny that if they wanted to. The characters / game looks exactly like metal gear. And that's a giant nope for me.

Nothing about this video made me want to play this title. What a shame!
