I finally became a Champion! Wingman kill shot! Woooo!

No wins tonight (I think like 4 second places though), but I'm getting much better at the gun play and movement. Had a couple of 8 or 9 kill games tonight. Not super ridiculous or anything, but considering I had been getting like 1-3, I think it's a pretty big improvement. I definitely suggest people just say screw winning early on and go fight people. Not going to get any better playing loot simulator for 15 minutes then getting melted by the final teams.

That’s been my issue. Get looted up get creamed. So now I’ve just been jumping into the gunplay. I’m still enjoying this game
 
I can't stop playing Apex. I'm very slowly getting better but this game has got it's hooks in me bad.

Damn, Mirage's decoys are INSANELY good. If you have good communication with your squadmates, you can get the drop on pretty much any enemy players.
 
The only things I do not like is the amount of ammo in this game and drops seem weird. I just checked 5 straight chests and zero guns as well so gun spawns kind of suck too.

Hey look a Mozambique...might as well just stand still and let them kill me lol.

Use the wingman! Its like a handheld sniper rifle. :D
 
My fave weapons so far are the two energy ammo weapons (Devotion LMG and Triple Take sniper rifle.) If I can't find those, then I like to stick with a Peacemaker for close range duties and an R301 for medium and even long range. Honestly though, just about every weapon is effective once you learn it, except the fucking Mozambique.
 
Really got to play a good amount of rounds this weekend, having a lot of fun. Still suck, but getting better when I average 1-3 kills a game, just deciding on the class I like the most.

Had 2 rounds in a row, where we opened up around 9 containers between the two matches and not a single weapon, we quickly lost both, ugh.

Fun game, first BR game I seem to be good at. Have a couple of wins under my belt which I've never had in PUBG or Fortnite. Only wish they would fix the random crashes.

I found something about uninstalling the c++ 2017 libraries and installing the 2015 ones and that seemed to help with the memory errors. Still get the just crash out for no reason ones.
 
yesterdays patch was suppose to fix some crashes. I havn't had a single crash yet.

played with 2 friends yesterday. they had just gotten 2 wins in a row with a random person. then when I join we can't wipe out a squad for the life of us. one terrible game right after the other. alot of rng in this game as far as loot goes. all I found were pistols in the beginning for most of the games.

Ive still been playing fortnite more, but its changed since apex released. basically the people with low to medium skill level in fortnite have left to play apex, and now the people still playing fortnite are the high level players. so someone like me that is medium level pretty much gets destroyed in fortnite now lol. I'm still waiting for solos to come to apex before I put my time into it. also, if they could squeeze out another 20 frames like they did with last weeks patch, I'd be pretty happy.

I do think the wingman needs range damage drop off. It being able to out perform rifles at range is silly.

I keep getting "Device Removed" & "Device Hung" Engine error messages. This is the only game which does this. Beginning to piss me off almost to the point where I don't even want to play it, much less invest any kind of money into it.

its pretty fun. I suck ass but am having a good time. ive had one random crash to desktop since the update.
sig rig runs 1080p/60 at max minus the one shadow setting is on high.
 
a lot of the crashing issues are related to nvidia drivers (confirmed)
roll back to 417.71 seems to resolve the majority of them...

that said if your not using nvidia and having issues, likely something else going on.... but ya there was a post by the devs confirming known issue with later drivers....dxgi crashes, random crash to desktop, random system restarts, device hung, ect



and.... this game definitely favors a more aggressive play style over a sit and wait play style...
 
On latest drivers from Nvidia myself and have been playing on and off since launch. Not a single issue here.

Been running those drivers for a while, still have issues with Application issues about memory and crash to desktop. Did it to me 3 times last night, even as I was moving in for a win. Really really annoying and makes me not want to play the game.
 
I played 8 or so matches last night and didn't have any crashes. 1060 6GB running 418 drivers. Not the most recent, the ones before the emergency patch.

But..... I did have some weirdness with game hangs in the menus and when launching, nothing in game. I initially installed the game on ancient drivers. All ran fine. I installed the newest drivers thinking improvement for Apex were in it. This caused my game launch and menus to drag and take minutes to load. Once finally in game, no issues. I uninstalled game, reinstalled while keeping nvidia drivers the same and it cleared it all up. Of course their servers could've been the problem for the 25 or so minutes it took to download and reinstall. Don't know.

It's a max of the large range and SMGs being a joke that leads to the current issue of wingman+shotty being so good.
 
I really want to play this. If only there were a way to do it without the Origins Client. <sigh>

R99 is a pretty darn good SMG once you get an extended light mag for it. Absolutely shreds at close range.
 
Anyone who wants to team up, my origin name is: kidstechno. Currently main Lifeline with ~80 kills level 24ish. Not great but not bad.

Origin isnt really that bad anymore. At least they have a decent library of games. And its a free game where the only MTX (so far) is cosmetics that dont affect game play at all.

agree, haven't really had any problems with origin except when it comes to updating games and the client at the same time. if you get a client update + game update you have to update the client first otherwise you have close/re-open origin if you start the game update first. only thing i'd like to see them add is the option to not update a game at all since i'll never play BF5 or BF1 again i hate having to cancel the updates for those games(unless i missed the option some where).
