As the title asks, who has the best long term/after sale BIOS update/driver support for gaming oriented motherboards (I'm processor brand agnostic)?

Likely a super subjective question, but I've been out of the game since about 2008. From what I can see from forum surfing, ASUS seems to be a favorite currently. Is this even a concern anymore? My current MSI board stopped having updates/drivers pushed to it's support page after ~ a year or two.

**Edit**
Maybe to get more mileage out of this thread, I'll expand it to ask what the opinion is on best UEFI/motherboard utilities?

I would have said, its never been a concern... Drivers only needed to be updated if your having issues, and I don't remember the last time I had an issue with Motherboard Drivers...

ASUS probably has the best overall BIOS setups with good layouts and documentation. MSI is (to me at least) confusing, and from what I've seen they like using non-standard terms to describe some of their features. Gigabyte has historically been a mess with too many poorly-documented features enabled to the user, but their latest Z390 BIOS' have gotten much easier to work with and I didn't have any problems with my latest build. I haven't used any ASRock boards so I can't comment on those.

I'm not sure who has the best support, but I would disagree Dodge, BIOS updates are important as they can help mitigate threats.

would being a target of a likely threat not be an issue? I don't remember the last time there was a BIOS threat, I'm sure they exist, but the last time i remember hearing about one was in the Pentium Days...

I have personally seen Intel update old boards for S/M. They updated the board I used in the router build in my sig, even though it's quite old.
