Looking for a good photo laser printer

Before anyone suggests it - I don't want an inkjet.

Any suggestions for a good photo laser printer? In actuality I'd like a multifuction printer, but it must also be good with photos. This is just for home use, not professionally, so the quality doesn't have to be that of a 5k printer, but I'd like my photos to be nice on the rare occasions that I print them. I bought a Dell E525W not too long ago and I'm a bit disappointed in the photo quality. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I've tried all sorts of settings and paper, but nothing meets my satisfaction. So on to the next one. Thanks!

It seems the only problem getting photos is finding the right paper. You can't use the same photo paper Inkjets use.

Apparently my entry-level Brother Color Laser from 3 years back can handle photo with the right paper. I will have to investigate (bough it for my wife so she could print out her teacher's Chemistry presentations from school.

It's been replaced by the HL-L3230CDW, if you want to buy yourself one.

I have purchased laser paper, but yes, perhaps my photos could improve if I find the right paper. I remember years ago printing with my trusty Epson inkjet and the photos looked poor compared to normal, then I noticed I had used the wrong photo paper. So maybe I'll experiment a bit more. Thanks.

Just wanted to update this. I went ahead and bought the paper that was discussed in the linked article "HP Glossy Brochure Paper 200g". My printouts came out VERY nice compared to what I had seen before. Not quite high end inkjet quality, but darn nice. Thanks for that!

I used to print photos onsite with an HP 4500DN laser printer and used HP Soft Gloss paper. Photos were acceptable since we needed speed over quality and inkjets at the time wouldn't be able to print 200+ 8x10's in the 2-3 hour time I had to process, print, and package the photos.

I still have quite a few reams of this paper if you want to purchase them from me, shipping may be high though since they are pretty dense.

Thanks, but the 100 sheets I bought will last me at least a year, probably several.
