Easy to get into single player game with high quality graphics?

Not sure if its been mentioned, but I found Subnautica to be a amazing game. The graphics are decent for what the game is trying to be. The game is a sandbox, exploration, survival game set on an alien planet and you basically explore the ocean. It has a story to help provide narrative and is found through exploration and listening/reading the various lore items you find. It allows you to save at anytime which I think is important if you are only able to play for short periods of time.

Plus the sound track is rather good and you might just find yourself doing nothing while listening to it.

Doom 2016 - 4K DSR - NoHud = In The Zone
Skyrim tons of Mods to slow things down....
Little Half-life 1-2 (all episodes) for Nostalgia...

If "oldness" isn't a factor... Portal and Portal2 are very easy to get into and are pretty long. Graphics? You don't need much for this game (low end card is fine). Play is enjoyable.

How are those DQ Heroes games? I always saw mixed reviews and never picked them up but they looked somewhat interesting.

Have you ever played a heroes game? If so you know what to expect. They aren't exactly complex and the combat is always what you make of them, the stories are simplistic as well. They are just simple good mindless fun that you can plug in an thrash stuff for a bit and then go out. It's hit or miss, some people love them and other people do not.

If you want some graphic and some atmosphere, along with relatively short missions I'd suggest
any of the Metro series.
You can get Metro 2033 Redux and LastLight Redux for a package on a Steam Sale for less than 20 bucks usually.......right now they are 20 each
Greenmangaming has both Redux for 30 dollars right now.

The redux (remastered) graphics are really well done.
The games are superb.

The newest is Metro Exodus, graphically awesome, 49.99 on the EpicGames store.
