Doing a lot of downsizing in my home network/lab environment, and just looking to offload some of the things that I wasn't using.

*128GB (4x32GB) SK Hynix 2Rx4 PC4-2666V-LB1 LRDIMM - So I bought a lot more of these than I need a the moment. Well, let me take that back. I can use the ram but buying so many sticks has tapped me out for at least 3 months and I need to finish a build. :( LOL. The RAM is practically new and unusued. $800 shipped

*
E5-2650Lv3 (12c/24t 1.8ghz - OEM) matched pair - I had this for my lab build but I'm looking at going in another direction, so I'm changing out this hardware. They are in perfect working and physical condition. $450 shipped each or $800 for pair

*Supermicro X10DRL-CT - C612 motherboard with 2 1GB x 2x 10GB ethernet ports and onboard hardware raid. Moving in another direct (see above) and need to make space. IO shield included $275 shipped

***SOLD***
*SK Hynix DDR4 ECC 2133P
*Intel E5-2660V2 OEM matched pair
*Hynix DDR3 PC3-8500R 4Rx4 16GB RAM (x4)

does the SG300 run CatOS and if so what version? I could use a gigabit switch

*Intel E3-1275L V3 (x6) - I was re-envisioning my entire homelab and I planned on going from 1 server to 2 4-node 1150 servers and would pick up a CPU when I caught them on a good deal. Well, that's probably not going to happen now and I got my eye on the Atom C3955. I have a total of 6 CPUs that are in perfect working and physical condition. $175 shipped each

*Samsung 1x8GB 2Rx8 DDR3L 1600 Unbuffered ECC RAM (x24) - Bought these to go along with the CPUs that I mentioned previously. They are in perfect working and physical condition. $65 shipped each or $240 shipped for 4.

*Cisco SG500X-48P - Outside of a few rack rash marks on the top of the switch, it is in perfect working condition. It has been updated to the newest firmware and everything is working perfectly. Rack ears included but it doesn't have the serial cable, but any null modem cable should work. I'm using a generic connected to a serial to USB and it is working fine. $700 shipped

*Cisco SG300 10P (x2) - To me, this is perfect as a small, fanless, PoE switch that won't kill the pockets. The switch is in perfect working and physical condition. As some may know, newer firmware allowed for L3 mode. One comes with the serial cable and if I can find the rack ears, it will include those also. $115 shipped each

Gladly no (people that worked networking long enough would get that one..lol) but it runs a lightweight, modified version of IOS. Also, mostly everything can be configured in the GUI, which is actually not bad on these models.

I know it has nothing to do with the actual sale, but care to explain this one? Does it have to do with network admins being reluctant to make changes to the network?

So, the evolution of the Cisco switch software (more specifically distribution/access) is:

CatOS --> IOS --> IOS (XE)

Around the time that I got into the field, there were still some swithces with CatOS (I think mostly 2948s and 2950s) but everything being taught and learned was IOS. So I got a call to fix a network issue; I console into the box and I see a beast of a software that I've never seen before. Because internet was down, it wasn't like I could just google on my laptop and my phone was in a dead zone. That was a rough day trying to figure out the nuances in the commands. That day I said I was going to learn CatOS only to never see it again..lol
