Is there a simple rollback method because this UI One is pure AIDs. I did some googling and everything I find talks about rooting and using USB cables.

Is this the only method...nothing intelligent like linux or windows like a simple button that reverts to the last update?

This stupid ass "drag lock icon" is irritating and there doesn't seem to be any way to turn it off.

Anyone figure out how to turn that off?

the version of samsung prior to this UI one crap waSn't that bad. It had some assine designs compared to HTC that i was used to but this new version is AIDs

You're going to have to embrace bad UI updates at some point, either now or on your next phone. Pie was a downgrade in UI functionality overall on Pixel phones too, but I've dealt with it the best I can for now and am hoping they'll fix some of it on Q later this year.

I wish I could help, but there is no official way to roll back.

On this note, it's funny how many Huawei phone reviews seem to be summarized as "great hardware let down by the software," but that seems to be Samsung's problem. It's regularly heavy-handed with its approach to software and seems to annoy users as much as it helps. That and its photography tends to be superficially good but overprocessed when you look closer (cool colors, oversharpening).

One thing I have noticed after a major update on samsung devices I would do a full factory reset. Helped wonders on my wife's S7 edge when she got 8.0

I too am not fond of this latest update...at all. I use a 3rd party launcher so that helps but why is everything freaking rounded now?! I thought that trend went out quite a while ago but I guess not...

Also, LET ME PUT MY CLOCK WHERE I WANT IT. I don't have a notch so I should not be punished by having to have my clock on the left side of my notification bar. I am having to retrain my brain to ignore it there because for the first week, I kept catching the clock over there out of the corner of my eye and thinking I have a notification. The rest I can deal with, but I should not have to root to move the damn clock.

Don't update S9 to Pie if you value phone call recording. Regardless of whether the new UI sucks or not. The fact that Google took out the ability for third party apps to record calls means it's a no go for me.

Damn this new change sucks. Turns off ALL the customization that I had. Auto-hide nav bar? Nope. Swype? Nope. Dictionary? Hell no.

All the icons changed. Why? What was wrong with the old ones? People can't get used to something?

I get that things change, change in some instances is good. This change to change just plain sucks.

I hope you don't mind that I hijack the thread cause I don't want to create a GS10 thread, but every single GS10 model has at least 6GB of RAM. I guess that's the only way to fix the TouchWiz shit now called One UI.
