I just started steam and there are a total of 12 games in my download queue. There was nothing there last night. Has Valve rolled some kind of update?

all my installed games, actually 23 showed a 202.7mb (exactly that) for all.. which it's weird, never saw that before, however the file only downloaded one time for the first game, then all udpates were 0kb..
also found this on the web:
Steam is just updating shared .NET, Visual C++ and PhysX libraries (see Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared).
They provide a lot of the system level functions that the games need to call out to to actually be able to interact with Windows. Back in the day, you'd need to have them downloaded with every game, Valve was nice enough to provide an abstraction layer so they're downloaded once, however that means the games have to update to the new path when an update for these shared files comes out, which is why there are tons of tiny downloads.
one bug that never seems to get fixed for years is the offline friends list will show someone that has been offline for an hour but it will say 2 days for example. the last online time is pretty much always wrong.Steam really needs to step up their game.
