LG Study Claims Xbox Players Are "Better" at Games than PC and PS4 Gamers

I started testing this with windows acceleration settings and my default unaccelerated score was abysmal but after some mouse settings tweaks, I was flying to the dots without problems on PC. I assume that the Xbox is accelerating as you push the stick toward the target by default and accepting keypresses off the circle. Still, the precision needed to actually target the circles exactly would be drastically slower on a console stick. This is unbelievably fishy.

Players have way more mobility on PC when it comes to evading. On a console you are getting aim assist on a less mobile target. Render distances and crappier graphics also reduce the distances in which players engage. I would advise LG to watch people use a XIM on Xbox and re-evaluate how skill level should be determined.

I'd be curious how the test was serviced to various users. If your entry point to the test while on a console was an ad while playing the game, you would get only players of said game taking a test on said game. Conversely, if those on a PC were brought to the test while browsing on, say, their favorite tech hardware site, you would have players that may never play that type of game. You have bias built in to the results.

Regardless, show me a console experience that matches my GTX 1080 at 4K and I might get worked up about the results.

"However, while PC players struggled with accuracy, they were shown to react faster to the targets than their console counterparts."

I'll take faster reaction with 8% decrease in accuracy thanks because that means I will end up hitting you first and most likely landing a kill shot before you even hit me. Sometime I miss a ton of AWP shots in CSS and CSGO, but when I repeek I don't even get hit because I out react the person I missed on the first time lol.

Was going to say. If you're able to hit twice as many targets in the same amount of time with only an 8% drop in accuracy I think you're doing pretty well.
