Boyfriend Urged On Woman in Fatal YouTube Stunt, New Evidence Shows

Maybe she was a secret agent of Darwin and she was doing her job properly...

Okay I watched most of the video, and laughed a number of times. I do feel bad but wow those people are stupid. And with that kind of delivery (even if edited) they never would have been popular youtube stars anyways.

"... is going to shoot it. Hoping she hits the book.... hoping she hits the book, and not me". Great plan. Not only are you not even sure if the object will stop the bullet, you're half expecting the shooter to shoot you instead. Wow.

In his defense, one thing he is certainly sure of: Monalisa needs to lick her lips. She's chapped, babe.

eh the more I think about it the more I believe he was committing suicide. not with stupidity but that he had the intent. there is no reason to believe holding some book would protect you from anything and there are tons of videos available that demonstrate the exact opposite. so he wanted out of the family life and thats what he got.

You think the guy would of been smart enough to first shoot the book to see what happens.

You think this guy didn't shoot that windshield a million times himself before sitting behind it?

Apparently he did, but the book wasn't held up by anything. Picture the bullet hitting a book that's just "standing" there. The force of the impact would just knock the book over potentially not fully penetrating it. Now picture dude holding the book to his chest.

One lest moron in the gene pool.

First time ever seeing the vid linked on [H] front page.

Holy shit...that guy seemed like an insecure imbecilic fucktard with delusions of grandeur willing to do anything for attention. The flashy street squeegee car, the gold-plated 50AE DE, the meticulous jersey shore bro-hairdo, diamond studded earrings, etc.

"Wait, what was I gonna say? So this is a Desert Eagle. It a .50 caliber. So this Desert Eagle is a .50 caliber. There's limited sold of this...these...kind. Dipped in...these Desert Eagle is dipped in gold...obviously not real gold, because gold is too weak. When I say empty the clip, just push right here. So this right here is a gold plated .50 caliber Desert Eagle. It not all gold. Because gold is a weak metal, and with the amount of gunpowder that is going off inside these...it's...uh...it's basically a cannon...in your hand...going off. But it's mixed in with other metals..."

Nitpick: besides him being a dullard that can't form any articulate sentences or cohesive thoughts, it's a MAGAZINE, not a CLIP.

Is it wrong of me to think that the world's collective IQ just went up a point or two after the incident?

I've hit the point where as long as you are handling it safely I could give a damn what someone calls it. Not worth the energy anymore. People use the wrong terminology for everything anymore and honestly, clip rolls of the tongue much faster. Unless 'mag' is okay to say.

Let's spend more on showing people how to handle them and not fear them instead of 'term-nazi'ing.

But yea, he had no idea what he was doing at all and she was none-the-wiser to go with it. I get nervous and my heartrate goes up when i see people barrel sweeping other people or myself, let alone to have someone shoot me just for a youtube video.

I am mostly in agreeance with you. However...

On the other side of the coin are a bunch of agenda-driven morons that are looking for any excuse to berate gun ownership in the US: "Clip? Ha! You can't even refer to it correctly, so they should all be taken away and banned! Remember what happened to Pedro Ruiz? He called it a clip, too!"

I agree as well.

I think my annoyance is I know it is called a magazine, but have only been shooting for about 5 years. I have called it a clip ignorantly for 30years prior to that due to movies games etc. So 'clip' slips out of my mouth once in a while and without missing a beat someone interrupts me mid conversation to correct my terminology. It often isn't done as some method to make sure people say the right thing, it often comes off as "hah I caught you!"

Not saying that is what you did, just a general statement of how I feel about it.

But yea, it seems like anytime some thing comes up about someone doing something stupid with a firearm, they often use terms like 'gat' or 'clip' right before hand.

Do you know what field agents are taught?
From inside the vehicle, with a service handgun firing 9mm, they shoot the same spot in the windshield more than once, it creates a whole, and from there they train and learn to fire at targets through that hole and they are successful at it.

EDITED: So in this case, this is armored glass and not a regular windshield, as they said, "Don't try this at home".

Wow, talk about digging up the corpse and molesting it.

Why you bring up old shit?

You're right, this is old shit, but at least point out who played "dig up the bone", wasn't me lol.

I find it just as hilarious this idiot died as Korn and IQ in the same thread. PERFECT now we're all fucking dumber

Lol 99% of the time I see someone crying about clip vs mag it's a gun nut telling a gun grabber that since they used the wrong term they don't know anything about guns and are therefore not entitled to have an opinion.

Nah, either is acceptable according to the NRA dictionary.

You're obviously baiting for an off-topic argument...not gonna bite, sorry. If you wish to discuss opinions on the matter, then feel free to PM me.

I am, but you weren't?

Look it up. NRA says clip is perfectly acceptable. Pedantry is bad enough as it is but when you're wrong, as in your case, well...

that wouldnt make him smart either just not as dumb. I use level 4 body armor and I wouldnt let someone shoot at me with it on. them are the people that make gun owners look bad.

I quoted no one and merely posted my thoughts and opinions on the matter (the very purpose of a forum) so no, I wasn't baiting anyone into an argument...

Ah, you weren't trying to start an off topic argument, you were just making off topic false statements. 10-4.

Its a valid point. If you're too ignorant/dumb to get the basics right you probably shouldn't be legislating or offering your opinion on it. That being said there are different terms because they refer to different devices. It would be similar to confusing a desktop PC with a smart phone.

No it isn't. It's akin to correcting someone when you ask for a Kleenex and they hand you a roll of toilet paper. No sane person gives it a second thought; people aren't too "dumb" or "ignorant" they just give zero fucks about the distinction and, big freaking surprise, they're actually correct not to waste any brain space on the difference because the practical implications are non-existent in context.

If my wife tells me she's about to run to the store and get some gas for the car, if I correct her that we have a diesel the next time I hop in my car it's going to be out of fuel because she doesn't give a shit about the difference, won't like being corrected when both of us knew exactly what she was trying to convey, and surprise surprise figures I can fill the car up my own damn self since I'm so smart...that's being too clever by half if you never heard that term.

I'll extend you the same advice: feel free to use the PM feature to discuss off-topic suject matter. Up to five different people can be added to a started conversation.

There's also the Soapbox and Firearms subforums where you can start a new thread that solely focuses on a discussion about the actual differences and distinctions between clips and magazines.
