Watch AMD's CES Keynote Here

She's segwaying into high performance computing, which means EPYC. She also soft announced 7nm CPUs, saying AMD will talk about them later into the year.

$699 February 2nd Vega VII first nm7gpu. Its missing one feature which is space invaders....:D Told you guys long time ago they will do Vega 7nm for gamers. ;) 16 gb of hbm2 goodness at 1 Tb. of bandwith.

Brags about great price point of Epyc.
Forgets price point of Radeon Vega II, isn't so hot...

Canned video from Oregon State University, about Epyc.

Nothing new here.

The GTX 1080 Ti was $699 (same price) 2 years ago and has roughly the same performance as the Radeon VII...that's not appealing.

Well you can blame Nvidia for changing the xx80 price point. AMD is doing what any business would do, pricing according to the competition and according to what they feel they can get away with.

It's appealing since 1080Ti's are pretty much non-existent in new form. Which leaves the 2080 at $100+ more.

2080 with no rtx....

RTX is retty pointless either way. At least for several more generations.

Minor increase in graphical fidelity at extreme hit to performance.

My understanding is that they are working on raytracing via driver updates in the future though.

But I don't think it is a huge priority for them, and rightfully so. It's just not a big deal. Nvidia is making a huge deal out of it because they have nothing else going for them.

2080 with no rtx....
The 2080 Ti can barely do RTX. RTX isn’t a selling point for NVIDIA right now. It was a massive letdown.

This pricing is a bit of a letdown. $600 would have pimp-slapped NVIDIA across the face.

Where did you hear that? I must've missed it.

Right before she segwayed into EPYC she said something like "We're proud to tell you today about the word's first 7nm GPU, and we more to announce later this year about our other 7nm products including our CPUs"

This does not jive with the rumored price points out there does it?
That $249 pipe dream made zero sense. Common sense is becoming more rare each day. Plenty were saying it's about mind share. Yeah....

R7 released on Feb 7 for $700. Probably a big mistake. Should be $600. The tepid reaction of the audience show everybody is expecting less than what Su announced.

599 might be too low since this things has 16GB of HBM2... that is like a LOT.

To be fair that 250 pricing was more for the mainstream card, since no announcement of that today, it may still hold true but I wouldn't hold my breath.
