Can't update BIOS for an MSI Z87-GB65 Gaming: Media not found error

So I'm in the BIOS for my Z87-GD65 Gaming motherboard and the M-Flash keeps telling me 'Media Not Found Please plug in USB media and press ENTER to try again.'

When I go to take a screenshot of the BIOS using F12 it tells me 'No USB Device is found. Please plug USB dongle then try again.'

What's weird is, the BIOS booting order shows the USB drive is there!

The USB Key is an 8GB SanDisk Cruzer Glide 1.26 if that means anything.

I've already updated the USB drivers but it's most likely unrelated. I also tried to use the USB 2.0 & 3.0 ports on the motherboard with no luck.

Is it formatted as fat32? NTFS or exfat won't work.

Yes it is.

Switched to a USB 3.0 stick now I can upload the old BIOS.

But the BIOS screen freezes when I try to upload the new BIOS.

I'll do a format of the new USB and a fresh upload and see if that helps.
