Metro: Exodus

No metro tunnels at all? I know it's a beta trailer but that would be a large missing piece from this series.

I picked up this game two weeks ago along with Darksiders 3 and From Software Sekiro shadows die twice.

Amazing overall but particularly the flashlight in the dark stuff looks like it's going to be EPIC. People are going to be losing their mud! *raises hand*

Graphic cards everywhere are crying. This game looks amazing. Wish it came out this year.

I should replay the first 2 Redux versions to get myself ready for Exodus...
Great games but so short. I think i beat them both in under 10 hours. I hope they add some RPG elements to this new title and hopefully lengthen the story.

Exodus should be bigger as you're now exploring the outside world and not confined to the underground tunnels

I was thinking the same thing recently, I'll probably wait til atleast January though since they are only about 15 hour games, I actually never played the Redux versions only played the original releases, but I go the Redux ones in a bundle at some point. I remember these games being great on Ranger Hardcore, but needing to remember how to switch throwables before playing hudless.

I just hope they don't go nuts with the filters and having to constantly find them.

Ha, I remember this. Started ranger mode and was so lost on how to throw knives.

I have this game preordered that and sekiro I kinda expect the game to go over like Bioshock infinite did. Change of venue above ground.

I just finished doing this exact thing. Played them quite a bit on PC before, so picked up the Redux pack on PS4 while it was on sale and ran through them both again. Platinumed Last Light, not sure I'll get 2033.

Metro Exodus, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Outer Worlds should make 2019 a great year for PC gaming...2018 was all about the PS4

My list is similar: Metro Exodus, Outer Worlds, Division 2, Anthem... and if we get really lucky, Cyberpunk 2077 by next Christmas.

So glad I get a month with Metro before Sekiro comes out, I really like the Metro series but I know any game from From Software will consume most of my free time.

I just refunded this game I read 20 hours of Gameplay and it just doesn't look very innovative over the past two titles. I could care less about a story about a first person shooter the story was ok in the first two game but least it was interesting in Metro Last Light to a point.

the open world setting itself is a major departure from the earlier games and is the thing that has me most excited...another game set mostly in the tunnels would have been good I'm sure but they needed to try something different...I'm looking forward to it

Hmm that latest trailer was more of a negative for me. A lot that looked good but a lot that looked really bad. Putting this from middle of the road to back burner for now.

In an interview the devs said they wanted to blend the open world of Stalker with that of the linearity of Metro, which sounds ideal to me.

Deep Silver and 4A Games have released the first in a three-part video series on the making of Metro Exodus...the series was filmed on location in Kiev and Malta at 4A Games’ two studios, and features interviews with key personnel, and archive footage and photos...it also includes never-seen-before materials produced over five years of development such as the earliest concept stage...

Something like Crysis would be great. Open ended, freedom of approach, but still mission based. Sounds like this will be similar but have story branches that carry over from hub to hub. I suppose more like Crysis mixed with the hub areas of the recent Deus Ex games, on a larger scale per hub.

looks like they let journalists play the first few hours...here are some early impressions...

PC Gamer: Metro Exodus takes time to truly make sense as an open world game

Exodus is definitely taking a risk by going open world, but I'm pretty confident that I'll enjoy exploring these places and meeting these people...After an hour, I felt like Exodus was moving too slowly...After three hours, I wanted to see everything on the map...

Tech Radar: Why Metro Exodus is the antidote to Fallout 76

A huge game that's anything you want it to be. An immense RPG, shooter, and world to explore that is only constrained by your imagination and desire to explore...

Metro Exodus first impressions: claustrophobic scares in a huge wasteland

We may not have played the full game yet, but we definitely saw enough here to pique our interest...the game feels like a challenging, eye-opening expansion of the Metro world, with loads of new additions and plenty of those familiar claustrophobic scares...the autumn level, in particular, promises that Metro Exodus has the potential to blow this franchise wide open and flex some brand new muscles...

That's perfect- I'd prefer games that start a bit slowly.

Granted that's not the 'showy' way to do things, but when you realize that if it goes to fast, it'll be over to soon, you come to appreciate the approach!

If this game is at least as good as the first two, I will be excited, but I have this rare hope that it will be even better. It looks like the Devs are really pushing themselves and I cant wait for release day.

the first 2 games had performance issues at launch...I'm expecting even more issues with Exodus since ray-tracing is a big part of the game

I can't wait! Need play Metro series again, Hopefully Pc rig be ready i7 5820 @ 4.6ghz No HT, and GTX 1080ti, It'll be amazing playing on 1440p for first time! :D
