Have two 2 1/2" drives Brand new. One has a U.2 connector the other has an M.2 connector.
Bought these thinking I could run them in Raid 0 using VROC but unfortunately the motherboard does not allow this (Asus WS C422 PRO/SE). I hooked these to the mobo, tried to set-up Raid Volume and removed after talking with Asus TS. Nothing written to them at all.

The U.2 version is model # SSDPE21D480GAX1 - Asking $480 or BO shipped
The M.2 version is Model # SSDPE21D480GAM3 - Asking $500 or BO shipped (I have NO IDEA why it is more $)

Will include modified WD Ice-Pack 3 1/2" heat sinks if you want them at no extra charge.

Can provide copies of invoices if wanted!

Interested in the M.2 one (which is the U.2 drive and a U.2-to-M.2 adapter, that's why it's more $). Looking for any trades?

Possible trade items:
DDR4-2666 ECC Registered 32GB (4x8) or more + cash
Xeon W-2123 + cash
Asus WS C422 PRO/SE mobo + cash
WX9100 AMD graphics card + I pay you cash
P5000 graphics card + I pay you cash

Might be a bit of a tough sell considering you can get the M.2 adapter version for $515 with proof of purchase in your own name -- and Intel has been a bunch of )@*$^%s about that recently, apparently. I ran into it myself when I RMA'd a 750 AIC (I could have obtained a reprint of the receipt from MicroCenter, but they did relent after I )*$@#^ed about having to do so on such a costly drive that I was opening a SECOND RMA for). Any reason you can't return them?

Original packaging was inadvertently discarded. I have the boxes, but not the internal stuff.
Will consider any reasonable offer and can provide original invoices. I can even promise to process an RMA for you if the need ever arises!

That promise is worth the risk. I trust jrweis when he says he would help with the RMA If needed.

Fwiw I’m still trying to convince myself to get the pci express one.
