Apple Lowered Its Q1 Revenue Guidance Due to Slow iPhone Sales in China

Phones lost their image as a status symbol. When's the last time a celebrity bragged about their new phone? Should be Apple's first clue right there. Maybe they should get into running shoes and makeup palettes.

hell , its not the price, i just bought a red hydrogen one for $1300 (everyone on earth except me says it sucks, but i love it) its way better than the apple, because its not a apple :)

Apple recently starting hiring automotive engineers again...

Why am I suddenly imagining people with bricked cars from using a 3rd party charger or having to buy a new car when the tires wore out because they are glued on to welded on wheels?

Good idea, putting out a report that says "It just works." probably wouldn't work out for them in hindsight.

I don't know about mobile as I've never owned an iphone, but the OS updates and innovation are lacking. I don't understand how a company with that much money can shit the bed with software for years, riding on the coattails of a more developer friendly BSD environment. I know people like to crack on microsoft, but at least I see progress and money being put to work there.

I'm not discussing hardware merit or where the device falls in the product line or what it does. Just the limits of what has been pried from the consumer and been educated into being submissive to those price hikes up until now apparently.
The price of an iphone has not doubled, unless you're going to talk about the cheapest iphone that was available 11 years ago and compare it to a mid tear XM Max, but that's like saying the price of a Ford has gone up at least 20x in the last 2 years because of the GT sells for 450k.

You can get an XR for 750, which is about 100 bucks more than a 6 cost (not sure what the 7 or 8 sold for), which is more or less an apples to apples comparison.
