So, what I am trying to do is find a 6-core (i7-8750H) laptop that doesn't have dedicated graphics and great battery life with Thunderbolt 3.

I want to go with a eGPU solution, but all of the laptops that would work with a setup like that are all Quad-Core 8th gen i7 or i5 processors and it seems like the only 6-core processor laptops with 4 lane TB3 all have dedicated GPUs making them heavy and thick... which is exactly what I don't want.

The ideal situation would be to have a thin and light 6-core laptop that has good battery life, and that has full 4-lane TB3 so I can plug into a external graphics card when I get home.

Is there anything at all like this or is it one or the other?

have you seen the Dell Xps 15 9570 ??? it is not big and thick it weighs 4lbs

i believe you can use a e-gpu with the dell xps 13 9370 it only has intel UHD 620 graphics

After using both - while the 13xps kinda fits your requirements, I do have to recommend definitely trying it out first before you buy it. It is tiny and it only tops out at 8550u.

The 15xps I've found was the sweet spot between usability, size and portability and the 1050 or 1050ti work well enough in an emergency. You can also get the 8750 you want as well.
