Titan RTX in-stock...

I really like that they are sitting on the carpeted floor, you should walk back and forth a few times to get them that extra fps static charge. /s
Seriously, why would anyone put exposed electronics on carpet?

Sorry, I ran out of tinfoil else I would have wore it on my head for the picture.

I’ve been in the game a long time. Do you know how many video cards I’ve killed laying them on a carepeted floor? Probably the same number as you.

I’ve also pumped my gas while talking on a cell phone and had people tap me on the back while making a funny face.

Do think electricians refuse to work on electrical work while standing on carpet?

While I won’t deny that there is a very, very, miniscule risk of an electrical discharge while placing a video card on the carpet, that chances of it actually causing harm is still yet a fraction of that.

I remember building dozens of pc’s as a youngster while sitting on a carpet with the components strewn about. Can’t recall one issue.

Thanks for your concern but I guess I’m just a risk taker.

Sure, a lot depends on environmental conditions, but even if the risk is remote, why take it? I’ve seen ESD do some really weird shit to electronics - and it doesn’t necessary just fry something completely out... latent damage can also occur. But if you don’t care, hey more power to ya! Live large! :D

I hear ya. Listen, I wouldn't put your card on my rug.... I just got a kick out of the immediate onslaught. I posted a picture of my 4.5 year old in the passenger seat of my Vette a couple weeks ago only to get beat on by the facebook Nazi's about the dangers. Oh, and another time about my 8 year old taking a lap around our driveway on her new bike without a helmet on. Maybe I really am douche.... Or at a minimum just a Cotton-headed Ninny Muggins.

because it really doesn't do anything, lol. i've had 2 8800GT's sitting in the corner of my room on carpet for the last 5 years and just used one of them the other day to get a system setup while i wait for my vega 64 to show up. now if you were wearing socks and dragged your feet around for 5 minutes and grabbed them then that might be a different story.

I spent a cool $2k on two original Titans back in the day when I got the tax refund money burning a hole in my pocket and went to Fry's in Renton, WA with the word "SUCKER" attached to my forehead. My Vega FE's were $799 when I paid for them on sale from Newegg. I can't justify $2500 on a single graphics card at this point even if it were a "Titan" Now I admit; If those Titan's were $1200 each, I would purchase two of them....

Did those cards start that fire in the background? :D

Very nice! Please share experience, uses and anything else relevant with these.

$2499, gets me a set of 5 wheels and A/T tires, a lift, and an axle back exhaust for my Crosstrek with some cash left over for a $50 bj at the strip club. I'd rather get blown by silicone than pay $2499 for it....

Lift, tires and exhaust on a Subaru?

The rtx titans are a better buy.

Jebus. These prices. I remember buying a Geforce 32MB on impulse at compUSA. It was over 300 bucks. I remember getting back in the car and kind of hating myself for spending so much money. But it was a big upgrade from, if I remember right, a Voodoo 3.

Son, you're not getting road head and doing this with a Titan, but hey to each their own...

I tried to refrain but....Hahahahahahaha!
The only road head I see being received from anyone driving this getup, is from a 14yr old runaway thumbing it at 2 in the morning in the pouring down rain trying to catch a ride to go see her dope man. The only action this "trail rig" should be seeing is fjording the mud puddle at the end of your driveway.

After seeing this video, I have a new found respect for that guy down the street putting lockers and a set of 38" Swampers on his 4 banger Wrangler...oh and the guy who just got those 2 RTX Titans as well. But to each his own...

Son how's that 960 treating you? Give me a ring, when you can afford what's in the video, or a Titan RTX.

Sorry dad, but around here Subaru's come with the mandatory "Help! I'm stuck in the ditch and broke down" sign for the window as winter safety gear. Call me when you need a tow dad.
