VUM and VCSA?

So my two servers are now on 6.7. I've been learning how to use VUM, and it's been pretty good, so far. Patched&updated hosts, and update VMware tools and HW on a number of guests. A couple of questions:

1. several guests run Linux and therefore open-vm-tools. VUM scan shows these guests flagged with a warning, since it isn't responsible for the tools on those guests. Is there a way to suppress this?

2. updated the VM HW on all but one guest, VCSA. Since VUM updates the HW by shutting down the guest, updating the VM hardware in the config, and restarting the guest, it obviously can't do that to itself. Do I just do this manually? I know I can leave the VCSA alone, but the scan shows it as non-compliant. Is there a way to suppress that warning also?

Thanks!

1. Don't know.
2. You can update HW manually. I'd do a snapshot first and verify functionality afterwards before removing snapshot.
