Traded 1C for this last night:

I have no idea if I'm getting robbed or not. My previous chest was a 3 Link Thousand Ribbons. I'm in... Act 8? I think? And maxed resistances. Also focusing on building up my health pool. Closing in on 2k HP as 53 Witch. Clearing content confidently. I freaking hate doing the sulfite mines. And that Jandus bitch wipes me out every time.

You can't really get "robbed" when it's a 1C trade: if the item is helpful to you (especially while leveling) and you're happy with it then it's all good. It's super easy to generate chaos orbs, particularly late game when you can use the chaos recipe (scroll down to the "full rare sets" section) or simply find more/trade for more of them. That looks like a nice tri-res chest to me!

has to be in an area where you just cleared a betrayal, and jun has to be there

You need to invite jun to your hideout, then edit your hideout and move Jun to an area with some space around it, so she can open 6 portals.
 
You'll also need the same extra space to invite Alva 'cause she also opens 6 portals for the Incursion temple. And of course you'll also need the same for the map device
 
Looks neat. The larger issue here is them reworking the atlas, AGAIN, and screwing up maptabs, even more so. I wonder if I can get a refund for it.

He's probably talking about Standard league, where any money spent on map tabs is wasted, as every time they change the atlas around - the map tabs you purchased previously become unusable. Most players don't play Standard so it's not a common complaint. If some other company like EA or Activision would try to pull that shit it would probably be grounds for some kind of class action lawsuit.

GGG has rightfully earned a lot of goodwill from their playerbase but it does sometimes let them get away with actions other companies would get grilled for.
 
Do they not simply make the old map tab "remove only" and then give you a fresh one to use with the new atlas layout? Any time a league ends, your tabs all migrate to the parent leagues (Standard/Hardcore) and become "remove only" so you can't add to them, only remove items...seems strange that they couldn't simply do that for the map tabs in Standard/Hardcore.
 
No. Not at all. You keep your maptab, and have to empty it, then select the new atlas option, then deal with the old maps as best you can.. don't even get me started on league play, where if you leave a map tab filled and then empty it in std, it won't ever go away like a normal remove only tab.. there's alot of problems with how they rolled it out, and the entire mess just stinks to high fuck of them just wanting to sell more tabs.
As to why the tab wasn't ever made to hold multiple series of maps, lord knows. probably money.

Not sure how I feel about socketed quivers. Hopefully this works like abyss items, with this being the only place you can rock an extra 3l/4s. The implcit on the NEW base is just fine, though. Dropping your quiver spot isn't too fun for more gems, erspecially when you don't have room on the skill bar. Still, socketed bow skills.. Hmm.. could be neat for HoAg builds, use something like RoA or split with chain support to keep up stacks. More power creep...
 
Stoked for the new league. Going to attempt not following a build. Probably last until level 50 and I'm getting destroyed. Want to try a tri-curse build.

I've barely looked at any patch notes. Just going to drop myself in.

I feel like you wouldn't need extra spots on the skill bar for this though? They would be auto cast when you use your other skills
 
It's not really this quiver, but could be, regardless. Just because something triggers, doesn't mean the sockets won't be used otherwise. Also new base item.. So... Like I said. Looks OK.

Nice. Roll a witch and spec into an occultism later. Should be pretty fun. Thought about your main skill set? Essence drain looks pretty juicy..

Thinking Storm Brand-CoH-Frostbite-Ele Weakness to get my curses out and proc elemental equilibrium.. Vortex as my main skill. Run a defensive curse through Blasphemy. I read about the Spiritual Aid node with all minion damage nodes so going to run with that. With all the minion nodes, have a golem linked to CWDT along with Immortal Cry.

Iunno. I don't have high hopes. By week three I'll probably give in and follow a build.

On the plus side, half way through the last league I learned about the TradeMacro. I have that down pat so that should give me more of an edge than I've had in previous leagues.

That actually sounds like fun. Best of luck with it. I'm probably going to do ed/contagion.. Undecided if I want trickster or occultist tho.. Doesn't really matter to me. I'm not very impressed by the rewards this league.
 
Past 4 leagues I always ended with the same build. Hiero ele hit totems. Cleared Atlas and all maps with dirt gear besides the required items. Haven't tried this league yet, but I doubt it changed much from the past.
 
Oh, I should reinstall this game. Was in Beta and played first season. Then got distracted by other games

Couldn't hurt. Things have changed pretty drastically. Still the same game, but a bit different as well. I'd wait til the weekend, post patch, and go nuts. Gl, let us know if you need help or have questions.

Ok Will do. spent many many days playing this. Remember loosing my EK build on a reflect pack lol 1 cast and dead

Reflect no longer appears randomly on mobs so you are safe from that now outside of map mods in the late game (and those are within your control). A side effect of that, however, is that the game is much faster overall now.

Personally I stopped playing HC last league (Betrayal) after playing nothing but HC since beta. The amount of random one-shot scenarios in the game (especially from Betrayal content) made me pretty happy with the decision.
 
Played for a little bit but then had to do some house work. Skill tree diff but similar. Started playing a Templar to be some sort of Totem build but not digging how he looks in a skirt lol
 
Lol. Mr Nopants.. I played a templar last league.. Elementals hit totems was fun, but almost boring as well, but that's just most totem builds. (i've played WAY too many)

The stupid "fog of war" from the subterranean map will not reveal the next node even tho it reveals others that are deeper on the periphery.

Man, the game is a lot different from season 1 and beta. not used to how they changed the leveling by not reusing the levels. they are the same but moved around and continuous.
Doing maps now and did 3 levels of ascendancy so far. Build got good once I did the 3 levels of ascendancy. huge quality of life change.
My stash tabs and stuff from beta still attached to account so that was nice.
 
Still going. melting content with my Arc totem build. kills stuff off screen. Having fun but only in my 80's atm
 
It's a fairly strong build. I played it during Incursion, and actually didn't have a problem with anything.. and it was even a bit stronger back then. I'm sure it's just as good now. I'm currently looking for a new build to throw together.. i have a good lil budget to play with, so I'm looking around for something I've never done before.
 
damn people level fast in the temp league that just started.
I just casually made a SSF character. I hit 27 when the top guy was 46. Must be people grouping cause it looked like SSF can still chat with all. stopped at 34 and went out with my GF

Im at work atm but will get back to it later. Trying a diff build. they are all new mostly to me lol
