Call of Duty Black Ops 4

The problem is the game is flooded with Unicum's and it's hard for the average joe to enjoy it.

what does that mean?

its the new version of 1337, basically you stand no chance unless you got skills or are hacking.

It was dying before BF5 dropped, I quit playing because I didn't want to wait for lobbies, I wouldn't pick this game up now, like all COD games on PC buy at launch, dump after a month lol.

Figured I'd check back in..

Picked it up for $30 and played for like 30 mins before bed.

Seems "good enough" as long as the population sticks around and cheating isn't rampant. (I'm assuming Bnet helps on this front)

Blackout is nice, quick, and dumbed-down. Def gonna play more tonight!

New update dropped last night. It's PS4 only for the next few days, then will hit PC and XBox. Some much needed balancing. SDM and Spitfire get a nerf, armor balancing with repair, improved audio, nerf to dead silence. Also some map updates.

Looking forward to this update on PC.

At this point in the game, it's becoming too hard for me to find a match on the PC. Unless I'm playing 5 PM-8 PM EST, I'm now waiting on average 5-6 minutes per TDM match, because I'm not finding any games. And then, I've also noticed I've run into far more cheaters the past week than 2+ weeks ago.

(I exit the match, and search for a new game, and it will put me back in the same lobby with only 5 players.)

Do you have your ports forwarded for open NAT? I play random games all day and night and never wait more than 15 seconds to find a HC TDM or Blackout match.

Open NAT.

On the Xbox One, I have no problem finding games. It's just the PC which seems dead now.

I don’t have any problems finding games, I only play after 7pm PST though. Usually I join instantly, or if there’s a wait it’s 10-30 seconds. I only play objective based game types (e.g. Domination).

Guys other people MUST be having this problem even after today’s update. I had this same issue when trying to play the beta.

Fast forward 2 months till now, my 1080Ti is in and playing other games perfectly.

I launch black ops 4, jump on multiplayer or black out and get a hard crash “virtual memory full” or something along those lines.

I can’t even get a game in.

Wtf???

Don't know. I played Blackout for a few hours last night on the rig in my sig. We have similar rigs.

Try closing everything you don't need to run the game.

I had this happen with Hunt Showdown and Black OPS 4 as well but haven't played either recently you might want to uninstall some programs if you have alot running at Startup with windows 10. That fixed it for me but then again I haven't played those said games in a while.

I'm on Win7 using the rig in my sig.

I've never encountered a crash or honestly any real issue of note....

Wow, this is driving me nuts. Why would I hve to jump through hoops to run this game?

I should just be able to crank everything to max and enjoy the game.

What programs should I not run ?

It's probably not the games fault but the crap you got on your system. Open task manager, go to the start up tab and start disabling anything that isn't critical.

We've all been there bud heh

At least it isn't GOTY-material or anything right?

(Destiny 2 crashing at launch made me wanna punch holes in walls, took months to fix)

But yeah, kill every process you don't NEED to run the game and see what happens....

I'm on PC and I play solo later at night, between 10-3AM EST, and I don't have any issues finding matches within a minute whether it's TDM, Domination, Hardpoint, FFA, etc. The same is true in the rare cases where I play Blackout. I haven't touched Zombies since release week so I couldn't tell you about any experience there.

If you're doing some niche list SnD or Heist then sure you may wait if you don't have a premade ready to rock.

My windows just updated to 1809. Are you guys all on build 1809?

WTF am i doing wrong here. Only game thats doing this to me.

Tried the official forums?

Sometimes they're legit, others are straight up foolishness. (Bethesda being a prime example of hot garbage forum-wise)

So i turned down settings on everything to MEDIUM and the game runs fine now. So fucking stupid. First time i completed an actual game without hard crashing back to desktop with a virtual memory full message.

Game running great on my new 1TB SSD, must have been some random shit.

BUT, i had cod points, purchased Richtofen on PC from the black market and hes still locked and cant use him in Blackout lol WTF?

Apparently others are having this issue to but no explanation from the devs or anything i can find.

I wonder if you have an overheating issue on full.

Run a temp monitor and run it at full. After it crashes, look at the temp log and see if the card is overheating.

I've got two codes from a videocard and CPU purchase. Thinking about using one and checking out this game. How's the server population lately? I'm not really a COD fan only game I was into was Modern Warfare.
I play TDM pretty frequently and never have an issue finding a game. However, most folks that still play are COD vets so be prepared to get trashed often.

People just keep getting better and better at First Person shooters Imagine just having someone good at PUBG or Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six in the same COD room your toast. I think this might be the last COD I ever buy just because it's just recycled content and everything tries their best not to get owned it no longer fun.

I mostly play TDM Core and it never takes more than a minute to find a game.
There are always tons of people playing Blackout.

Last night I tried Free for All Core and after a few minutes of trying to populate a game, I exited the lobby and played TDM.

I am always fascinated about how many people are playing but so far I don't think there is a way to find out. Blizzard does not publish stats like Steam.
COD has so many game types. I often wonder if any of them are popular enough to even have games.
The only way I think you can tell is enter a lobby and see if it can find you a match. That is your only way to gauge player base.

Some people are crazy good at this game. I am terrible and rarely break a 1.0 k/d ratio. It can be very low when I play with someone who is a badass. I have really grown to hate kill steak bonuses. Something like an attack chopper can rack up 5-10 kills pretty easily for someone who is already dominating. And then from those kills, they get more special weapons and or kill steaks.

Seriously, I suck enough, it's pretty lame when the map just keeps getting bombed repeatedly and you spawn>die, spawn>die. I would prefer a mode without them.

Yeah even if you find shelter from the Hell Fire missiles sometimes they go though the buidling right though the door. Then you have the other team go inside with shotguns to flush everyone hiding. It's a no win win situation with COD. Domination mode is the worst for this believe me I tried my hour or two in that game mode.

Vs AI controlled scorestreaks run Cold Blooded in perk 2 and the Hellion Salvo. Alternatively, if you don't want to burn a custom class, the default support class has the Titan w/FMJ2 equipped which will drop an attack chopper or sniper's nest in ~30 rounds or a few seconds of focused fire. They'll also clean up a Mantis pretty quickly and if the walls are thin enough you can wallbang the Mantis to destroy it without exposing yourself to being rocketed at all.

Also, scorestreak point rewards were nerfed so it's something like 10pts per kill now which is not a big aid in rolling your streaks over from one set to the next.

I bought the Standard Edition after the free Blackout Trial last week. I haven't played an FPS since Black Ops I, and even that I only logged about 40 hours.

It's a whole new world. My K/D ratio is like .50, and back in the day I'd usually carry a 4:1 or so. I feel like as soon as I see someone to shoot at, pink tink tink I'm dead. I got shot by a guy UNDER water once. WTF. Bullets aren't lethal after a few yards under water. Last time I was killed, a guy shot THRU one of the heavy trucks. Like it wasn't made of steel and in between myself and him.

Gonna keep pluggin' away. Big map to learn, lots of items that I have no idea what they do. All the gun names are retarded by the way. Whatever happened to the real deal?

The score streaks was needed. If you get a gunship or a mantis, you pretty much are guaranteed 15+ free kills. And the mantis is actually cheaper than a chopper to earn. I usually get one the second I get my specialty weapon up. Honestly, both these score streaks need to be nerfed badly. Fortunately, the only people who ever use a gunship are the super rare supply drop, or cheaters. The mantis on the other hand...

Good advice on the perks and equipment. I have a class set with the launcher and I think I use cold blooded on all my classes because as you know, you get killed a lot less in enemy kill streaks. I like the launcher just because I get half of my points destroying enemy equipment. Destroying razor wire, barricades or flying vehicles with a riffle burns lots of ammo and requires you to stand still making you more vulnerable to getting killed by an enemy.

I am glad they nerfed the points you get from score streak kills.

Has anyone ever bought a gesture in this game? People including me buy costumes and weapon skins but I rarely see anyone ever using spray tags or gestures. I wonder if those items actually manage to sell. Seemed like this was a me too inclusion from Overwatch.

I do not care about either and I sure would never buy any.
Oh. And I got 3000 credits for preordering. I doubt I will put any additional money into this game.

I wish they had more pistols and operator mods that aren't melee.

And they aren't going to pay for real weapon names. Grand Theft Auto isn't from Activision but they aren't going to pay for actual vehicle brands, they just approximated like Lampadati.
