Any Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate alternatives?

Been using Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate for years and really like it. But recently they changed something that screws up my codecs and won't let me play certain video files. I really enjoy the YouTube download feature. And while it's not the most fancy video editor/converter, it serves my purpose. Tried AVC Any Video Converter but the YouTube download feature doesn't work. Looking for something that does both, YouTube and video editing and converting. Was wondering if there are any alternatives out there? Thanks
