RTX 2060 Shows Up in FFXV Benchmark

Twitter user APISAK spotted a "Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060" in the the Final Fantasy XV Benchmark database. While rumors about the card's release have been swirling for some time, this is one of the first leaked benchmarks we've seen. In the 4K high quality test, the RTX 2060 sits in the same performance bracket as a Nvidia GTX 1070, a 980 TI, and a "Radeon RX Vega," but the score has to be taken with a grain of salt since testing parameters like clockspeeds and driver versions aren't specified.

On this page it is possible to check the names of the GPUs tested by the FINAL FANTASY XV Benchmark and the average scores that they have received. This can be used to see what scores are generated under the various graphical and resolutions settings for each GPU.
 
Is Vega (I assume Vega56) slower than a GTX1070 on FFXV? Didn't expect that.

And what does "GTX" stand for? Nothing really, it is just a branding / marketing thing.

Same with the old SE & LE (Sucky Edition & Looser Edition, or what I assumed they stood for). People would look at the numbers and not the lettering and get screwed with a notably slower card.

But this looks like a 1070 or at best, a 1070ti replacement. Not all that impressive. I know we have to wait for real benchmarks but I was trying to be optimistic and hoping the 2060 would essentially be 2070 performance without RTX.

hell you can get the 1070 for 300-375 new so there's still no point in the 2060. the 1070ti is anywhere from 400-475 and worth the slightly higher cost of the 2060.. now i'm seeing why they've delayed it for so long.
 
Slower than the 980 Ti that I got for $220 in Sept?

Glad I bit when I did....

Honestly, this should have happened a year ago.

I got mine mid last year and couldn't be happier. My only gripe is the memory doesn't OC as well as my sons GTX1070

Yeah I recently got a GTX 1070 Ti on clearance myself and echo your sentiment on the RAM. Can’t get it stable past +375 in Afterburner, so about 20-25% less than I saw in reviews, but I also noticed it’s Micron RAM, and I’m not sure if that is part of the problem given what I’ve been hearing as of late (silicon lottery notwithstanding, of course).

But to be honest, I’ve overclocked it enough that I’m outperforming stock 1080 speeds, which was the point I decided I would be satisfied, so I’m not too upset about it either.
 
Hopefully DLSS pays off. Even if this thing is hopeless at ray tracing tasks maybe whatever amount of enabled tensor cores are still of use.
 
I saw that elsewhere and wondered what the hell that "Radeon RX Vega" are, i assume it are one of the old Vega 56 or 64 cards though it seem silly to add a RX to the name.
 
1070 performance at 1070 prices, but the 2060 is sooooo much faster than the 1060 and the AMD 590! Nvidia for the Win! /s

It’s supposed to be cuda core only. They should be able to make it cheaper than the 10xx gen counterpart since they improved cuda performance. I wouldn’t expect much though...
