The $199 deal was too good to pass up. So whats next? Planning on getting the $40 PS+ for 1 year as well.

Is Playstation Now worth it? How many PS4 games do they have vs PS3/2? Its also on sale for $80.

I also got Horizon Zero Dawn and Uncharted Legacy Collection for $10 each, and Last of US remastered for $5, just based on reviews.

I like mostly single player games that are not too hard, I'm not a hardcore gamer, e.g. I'm not good at console fps. And I love racing/driving games, does PS4 have an equivalent to Forza Horizon? GT Sport seems online only and I want a SP campaign with 100s of cars.

Recommendations?

Closest thing to Forza Horizon on PS4 is The Crew 2. I haven't played it but reviews are mixed.

Hate to say it but you are really shit out of luck on any decent racing games on the PS4. IDK how they drop the ball so hard with GT since the ps2 era. Maybe give project cars a look? I haven't even heard much about it on consoles. Dirt 4 also maybe?

where did you get those deals?...and yes a PS4 is worth it for the amazing exclusives...I bought one for Bloodborne and sold it after 18 months...during that time I played all the Uncharted games, Last of Us, Bloodborne + DLC...well worth it

All those are still on -

console at Best Buy
Horizon and Uncharted at Gamestop
Last of Us at PSN store

Is Bloodborne hard? What other games would you recommend?

I liked PGR, Midnight Club, Burnout, early NFS games, as well as more hardcore racers like Forza/F1/rFactor. I don't like biker or rally. What the hell happened to this genre, did everyone give up?

Bloodborne is a typical From Software game...if you love the Dark Souls games then you'll love Bloodborne...if I were to buy a PS4 now it would be for God of War, Spider Man and Horizon Zero Dawn...there are also some good games coming out in the near-ish future such as Last of Us 2, Days Gone, Death Stranding etc

Waiting for good deal on God of War. Is it just me or is that the same name of the original game? I never played Dark Souls but I remember reading its pretty hard and you keep dying.

Can someone answer my qns about PS+ and PSNow? Does anyone have PS Now and is it worth it?

PS+ is an investment.

I think it’s worth it, but I can’t say it’s consistent. Over the course of a year you will get your money’s worth, but it may go a few months in a row of pretty crappy offering, and then hit it big for a couple months.

The hook is that if you let the sub drop, you lose access to all the games that they had given away for free (unless you do purchase).

PS+ is also required for online multiplayer access for some games.

The cloud saves and auto updates are a nice bonus

PS Now I can’t speak for - my ISP sucks and they only recently allowed downloads.

Maybe it the licensing issue no one want to deal with all the car manufacturers. I am sure it is quit the headache.

Driveclub is a fun game, but it is no where near the quality and content of Forza. If you have a wheel the ports of Project CARS 2 and Asetto Corsa on the PS4 are pretty good. I just can't recommend them to play with a controller. Since you mentioned F1, the F1 games on PS4 play pretty well even with a controller. I played a hell of a lot of F1 2016 on my PS4.

I do not have PS Now, but will inform you that PS2 and PS3 games are streaming only, and the best streaming quality is 720p. They recently started allowing subscribers to download PS4 games to play locally. The newest releases typically do not go onto PS Now, so it is more of a back catalog of games. Considering the price I would figure out if you plan on playing a regular number of games off the service and if the value and time spent in said games is worth more than the subscription price.

I thought Gran Turismo 6 on the PS3 was quite good. Maybe even better than Gran Turismo 4.

That's funny, I bought the same mix of games with my new PS4. Also just bought PvZ GW2 and Lego Harry Potter on the PSN store for the kids.

I've owned PS4 for a while and ended up buying a 4k TV. Which then made me look into PS4 pro. Not sure if it's worth it. But I'm selling my PS4 locally and upgrading to the pro for about $140 out of pocket unless I can sell more things.

The PS4 pro shipped, part of me questions why I did that because it's not native 4k but whatever lol.

I purchased Detroit, going to get god of war, I want spider-man, and own GT sport with a racing wheel.

The Pro is worth it for all the exclusives, as all of them are Pro enhanced and do at least checkerboarding. The difference from 1080p is actually very noticeable, so I think you'll be pleased.

Yakuza is now on PC too, play it somewhere, its great!
God of war
Ratchet and Clank
Persona 5 is highly reviewed, might be worth checking out.

Check out Wipeout omega collection, its a racer, but of a different kind. I liked the wipeout ive played.

The $199 deal was too good to pass up.

Too bad it was sold out everywhere well before Friday. I imagine had I went in store before Friday I may have snagged one but didn't. Really wish I had gotten in on it to. I think at this rate I may wait for the PS5. Rumors are that it will be backwards compatible with a lot of games. Uncharted series, Last of Us were what I was mainly looking to play. Detroit Become Human looked interesting. Spiderman sounds like it will be a PS4 exclusive forever. Then there is Last of Us 2 and likely Death Stranding which will likely end up as a PS exclusive as well. Those were the titles I was looking to pick up had I got in on a deal at least.

I bought the $199 deal and the $40 PS+ and I don't know what to do with the PS+ pass. I bought Uncharted 4, HZD, Spider-man, and Just Cause 3. Only U4 has multiplayer and apparently only 1 mode.

What should I use the pass for? I'm mostly a PC gamer so I play my multiplayer games on my PC.

PS+ only gives you deeper discounts during sales and free monthly games for as long as you're a subscriber. It also enables the option to download and install updates automatically when the system is in standby. If you don't play multiplayer then I don't think it's worth it.

I will play multiplayer if I just knew which games were worth playing. Do you have any suggestions?
