I'm having a hell of an issue with one of my PCs whenever Windows 10 updates it causes a corruption with my wireless network card and my whole install becomes hosed. If the computer is hooked in on a wired connection there is never an issue but the problem is this computer is two floors away from the router and I do not want have a cable running through every room of the house. I've duplicated this problem manually on both wired and wireless connections and I've tried two different cards and both cards have the same issue an Asus PCE AC68 and a TP-Link Archer T9E AC1900, I've tried using generic chipset drivers and official drivers but unfortunately official drivers for either card are 16+ months old. Anyone have any suggestions I could try out?

OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit
CPU: Intel 4900K
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3
GPU: GTX 1080i
Boot HDD: Samsung 256GB SSD

Have you narrowed down which update package is causing the issue? There is a way to blacklist specific updates in Windows from installing

Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out which specific update does it, just seems to happen every time I update.

Do you game on the computer? Or, do you use software that requires you to run Windows? Might want to consider Linux if the answer to those questions is 'no'.

The primary function of that computer is gaming, I can use Windows restore/backup just freaking frustrating that it keeps happening.

If the primary purpose is gaming (assuming online gaming), it's with hardwiring it.

They both use the same Broadcom chip. Do you have an Intel wireless card sitting around or something that does not use the Broadcom 4360?

Sadly no, I've been looking for a replacement wireless card but nearly every card I find uses a Broadcom chip.
