Fallout 76 was supposed to launch tomorrow, as Bethesda's own website says it will be available on November 14. The PlayStation site has a "countdown to launch" timer, and right now it says the game is launching in 11 hours. But once again, Fallout 76 is apparently up a little earlier than planned, as players are streaming the game on Twitch, and Eurogamer verified that it's up on the PS4. Fallout's launch date could be based on Asian time zones, or maybe they made a bet with D.I.C.E. Regardless, it appears that you can jump into Fallout 76 right now. Bethesda posted a launch letter on their website yesterday, where they reflect on the game's development and outline plans to support the game in the future.

Check out the "countdown to launch" video here.

A huge thanks to everyone at Bethesda and ZeniMax who supported us in making this game. Creating a new style of game has taken the best from not just our own producers, programmers, artists and designers - but great efforts from across the company. Special thanks to our friends at ZeniMax Online, id and Arkane who helped us. And thanks to everyone in publishing, IT, Bethesda.Net, Customer Service, Admin and our incredible partners in QA. And a special thank you to all our fans who participated in the B.E.T.A. With your help we’ve made the game better each week. And this is just the beginning. We have an incredible list of updates we’ve begun work on – from C.A.M.P. building improvements, new quests and events, new Vaults opening, character respecing, a faction-based PvP system, and much more.

It is a fun casual game so far for me, (beta and stress test) although I been having more fun playing UO again on UO Outlands . FO76 is cool when other people want to play with you, otherwise it seems lonely and you sometimes end up in a loop of doing the same quests again... I need to be smarter at release to skip side content or I never go forward.

Ultima online? Surely not?

From everything I've watched and read I'm holding off on this game, it had promise but the general consensus has been it's a jack of all trades and a master at none.

You ever played a Fallout game? That describes rather well what one is. and if that's not for you then its not what you want. I believe COD is more focused. ;)

I'm a huge fan of the previous games, but I'm a little concerned over the MMO'ish nature of this one. I'm holding off for the moment to see if people who play solo are having fun or not.

That was my first thought too.

With one exception: I think the Bethesda RPGs were exceptionally good at world building. They feel like living, breathing worlds, and they keep the immersion up if you just take off in a random direction for no particular reason. But I can't comment on FO76 yet.

I pre-ordered through Amazon, and they guaranteed delivery. And now it looks like my game isn't arriving until Thursday. :rage:

I've bought the Fallouts since 3, Oblivion and Skyrim, had a blast in all of them. I would much rather spend an hour in CoD than in 76. Haven't bought a CoD since BLOPs2.

Getting booted to another server a lot. They need to fix this a.s.a.p. If you're on a mission when this happens it resets the whole thing.

Oh I've logged in my fair amount of time in Fallout, I put 70+ hours into Fallout 4 before I ever got to Diamond City. All the streams, YouTube videos and articles I have read give me a very meh feeling and I loved the previous Fallout games, I have a feeling this game will die as fast as Marvel VS Capcom Infinite.

Have you played the game? The youtube crap is just that.

You should love Fallout 76 if you like winging it. Its fucking huge! There is stuff everywhere for you to find and its kinda a feast for me.

I love fallout, but I fucking hate MMO's, especially the survival ones. So I am currently a no to FO76.

well... obviously this online only is what the fans wanted.... i guess. Not sure where they are... but they must have been ranting in the forums for this...right?

Feral ones!?

Oh Fallout... what have they done to you?

The lore behind em fits Fallout well, as far as I can tell.

Also, the FO76 part of the Fallout wiki is surprisingly fleshed out already. It's really amazing how much fans document the Bethesda RPGs.

Still can't play the game or even navigate the menu. Getting about 1-3 fps. Can't set it any lower, have it on 720p ultra low. Stopped caring, uninstalled.

#NotMyFallout

When there are private servers and mods are allowed... maybe I'll play it

Turn off borderless window in display options, put full screen in.

I was getting choppy frames on my 1070ti solely because of that stupid default display option they had on.

Tried both ways, no difference. And that was a huge pain in the ass when the mouse pointer moves halfway across the screen each "frame". I'm over it.

You gotta reset the game before any changes.

Dude, I did. I tried for about 2 hours to get it to work. Nothing helps. I have no idea whats wrong with it but based on the reviews my $70 would be better used to wipe my ass and flush.

Man, I didn't pay attention and I thought my boxed BB copy would be a Steam key. I am disappointed.

Actually looks like a non-play anyways, so I wish I wouldn't have opened it.

LOL wow...

i miss the old days.. standing naked in the bushes playing a flute to level up.. with a stack of quarters on the key to repeat.. for hours on end

All that map for fetch-quests delivered by computer terminals, watching people in front of you and behind you doing the exact same thing, just not together cuz #realmultiplayerisreal ......if it had the 50 hours of dialogue in it, I'd probably spend 100+ hours of my life *doing* those silly fetch quests....but without that narrative, there are better shooters to play. $14.99. Gamefly. March.

Yeah, I have done a tiny part of the main quest a couple of challenges, because they were there. Apart from that I have my own agenda and it involves taking valuable stuff from higher level areas that I really should not be in. ;)

The wealth, you know screws, electronic circuits etc, is what I build my base and equipment from, and I am leveling just fine doing this.

Yeah, tried it on a friends PS4. Wacthed for a while then I just told him lets play RDR2. They were more than happy to switch over, 76 was getting boring af.
