The intro mission looked amazing w/ HDR. This is really a showcase game.

Played about an hour today so far at 3840x1080 144hz Ultra settings, HDR, and Freesync. Game is good, has some glitches though. Enabling DirectX 12 with Freesync on my CHG90 results in stuttering with my Vega 64. That said, going back to DirectX 11 eliminates the stutter.
Ultrawide screens (Not sure about 21:9 since mine is 32:9) have issues with the cut-scenes. Sometimes they shrink to 16:9 and look like they are suppose to sometimes they fill the widescreen and lag with flashing textures and stretched out. All-in-all not a deal breaker since it's meant to be mostly multiplayer anyway.

DX12 was/is always bad in BF1 as well. Was always a stutter fest on both nvidia/amd from what I recall. Don't know how they haven't fixed it yet.

is it problematic on your RTX card as well? i've always avoided DX12 because i've ran SLI for the last couple years, but I was curious to try it out in BFV with my 2080 Ti. i'm interested to see if it's any better.

Runs fine in DX11 as expected. DX12 runs just as shitty as every other modern frostbite engine game which makes no sense.

No SLI support go figure. Yes running latest drivers that came out today. Complete bs. Frostbite can do sli just fine but obviously it wasn't a priority for Dice.

Still early. My old ass 3770 and 980 rig runs it fine at 1080p. I know it ain't H at 1080p but w/e. I still own. This game at least trys to lean towards gameplay and skill.

It's nice that they've been able to up the visuals without significantly upping the system impact- it's been a fairly flat ride from BF3.

I got it to work in the beta using nvinspector. There were some menu screen anomalies/bugs but performance was great.

same here. there's a link to 'upgrade' the game (based on Premier, i believe) but it just gives me an error when i click it. Did you preorder the game in addition to signing up for Access Premier? I did, and i wonder if somehow my Deluxe preorder is superseding my Premier account and that's why it says it's not available until the 14th.

For anyone still experiencing this issue, the suggested fix in this link worked for me: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Access/ref-vault-entitlement-failed/td-p/6780991

“Can you clear your origin cache and then try again:
  • Completely log out and close down Origin
  • Hold down the Windows key and R
  • Type in "%ProgramData%" (without quotes) and click OK
  • Now open the Origin folder.
  • Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent (do not delete this one)
  • Hold down the Windows key and R
  • Type in "%AppData%" (without quotes) and click OK
  • This will take you to a Roaming folder, which is located inside of AppData. Delete the Origin folder
  • Click on the word "AppData" at the top of your window
  • Open the Local folder here
  • Delete the Origin folder listed here
  • Restart your PC and log back into Origin”

Anyone else experiencing issues with CPU/GPU usage? My system (Titan XP, 4.2GHz 4770K, 16GB RAM, game running on an SSD) barely sees over 50-60% GPU usage at 2560 max settings. I am getting 60-70fps in game. CPU is going between 50-80% usage. This doesn't feel right. BF1 was well over 100fps at 2560 and >60fps at 4K.

Fixed it. Changing the graphics preset from Auto - High Fidelity to Custom resolved the issue. Now I am getting 99% GPU usage and 120-130fps.

it baffles me why they even put it in, it was shitty in bf1 and everyone thought it was broken, same story in bfv. Does their engine just not work well with dx12? Why bother including it if it's either a half assed implementation (again) or it just tanks performance for no reason. Would adding vulkan support not make more sense?

I have no clue. It makes no sense to me that a AAA studio and big publisher like EA can't build a proper D3D12 engine. If a small studio like Rebellion can do it i'm not sure why other big studios can't.

The Strange Brigade / Sniper Elite 4 engine just runs absolutely incredible while looking great as well - And it also scales almost perfectly with mutli-GPU.

Meanwhile this game on a freshly built 2700x / 2080ti system runs like absolute stuttering ass in DX12 mode.

hows fps compared to the beta? how much more or less? playing rotterdam would be ideal.

No clue. It generally runs OK but I feel could use some work still. It's not great.

I running on a different monitor now (1080p @ 144Hz, beta was in a 3440x1440 @ 100Hz) so I can't make a direct comparison.
But, I'm running the game with no problem. I cranked some settings up from what I did in the beta (since I'm now playing at a considerable lower resolution) and a can maintain 100 or more fps easily.

One setting that some might want to have set to "On" is "Future Frame Rendering". If you turned it off and feel the game is under performing, try turning it on and see how that goes.

I bought a $15 premier for one month to try out BFV. At the very least I wanted to see the new Frostbite engine.

It is very demanding on ultra! 4K Ultra my Titan V does ~60-70 FPS. If I turn the setting down I can approach 120 FPS at 4K for use on my X27. Gorgeous game though.

I can't thank you enough for this!!! It totally fixed my issue. Just played a round on Aerodrome and it was AMAZING!!! 4K @ Ultra with full HDR on, was staying over 60fps. It is a shame SLI is not supported at the moment but I hope they implement it soon. The intro was so damn good too, made me a little emotional for those soldiers that fought in the war. DICE always does a spectacular job of reminding us of the human element in war, like the BF1 intro. I totally respect that.

Anyone having trouble with the game today?

I played for an hour or two last night and it was flawless. Playing on a Vega 64 at 3840x1600, high settings. Was getting framerates around 55-60, which was perfectly playable with freesync and everything was nice and smooth, I didn't have a single issue. This morning, the game is basically unplayable. Game is studdery from the moment it loads, and once I got into a game I was getting extremely choppy performance, stuttering audio, etc. I also didn't seem to be able to stay connected to a server for more than about 10 minutes. After getting disconnected from several games, I gave up.

The only difference between now and last night was that last night I played in the infantry focused servers to try and get a better feel for the game in smaller matches. This morning I was playing conquest.

Set the video settings to Custom and make sure that Future Frame Rendering is turned on.

I bought the version that unlocks 11/14.
I want to play today.
If I buy premier for $15 for one month just to play early, will EA fuck my shit up and I lose all my games I own already after the month is over?

Nope, I did the same thing.

Buy the $15 for this month then just cancel it after the month.

There are new public AMD drivers, that support BFV. Install those an give them a shot. Version 18.11.1

Since I'm reading the visuals are quite good in gameplay anyone know if you can hide the weapon or item off the screen? I know in BF1 you couldn't. It's to get a better view when in the mood for it in between battles.

Think I'm gonna hop over and get premier. Now I understand why I'm waiting in COD lobbies this dropped early. And I really didn't want to play after Beta, but people seem to be fapping to live.

Does anyone know if there is any need to tweak control panel settings. For example, bumping ansioptropic filter to 16x, turning on Transparency AA, ect? Or is all of that basically baked into the game’s graphics settings amd this at this point?

I think so, I never touch those settings. The game looks incredible.
