Now if only they could combine the Bluetooth and miracast standards for 100% complexity and 0% reliability.

I have a pair of B&W X7s and love them. Are they better than wired? Of course not but I only use headphones in the office, my room or when traveling and they work flawlessly and sound great (a little light on the bass though) for those purposes. I've never had any connection issues with them and they always pair to new devices quickly and easily. If I'm listening to music or watching something at home I do it through my speakers in the living room which will always sound better and be more convenient than headphones, wired or other wise.

I think Bluetooth headphones have their place people just need to understand their current limitations and weigh them against the benefits. For me the Bluetooth features are the only reason I own headphones and I've tried numerous cheap pairs from $10 buds to $100 on ears and they have all been okay but I definitely think the cost was worth it given how often I use them. I still use a cheap pair of $30 buds in the gym though.

TBH, I can't tell the difference anymore, and most likely neither can 99.9% of the rest of the population. I have been pretty happy with my bose soundsports.
Well, that is self explanatory right there. :)

Is this a bandwidth problem? I'm curious what would happen if you plugged a really good pair of headphones (wired) into a bluetooth speaker and then played TO the speaker from your phone.

“wired is still king for quality.”

Not for what I would pay for wired headphones.

I'm very happy with my sub-par sub-$30 BT headphones. I even buy more than one pair.

Meh, still 100x more convenient for wearing while doing actual work. I've tried using wired headphones while I do my shop work and it just turns into a nonstop snag fest if worn outside my clothing, and under my clothing is gets tensed up and pulled out of my ears constantly as i move around and turn my head all the time. My Bluetooth earbuds may be "shit" but atleast they're usable, wired is great if your in potato mode but suck for any kind of real movement,
