There is something to be said about knowing exactly who you are marketing to with your "journalism." Apparently this non-NDA thing is going 'round. (Negative Apple story quota of the day achieved.)

Reviews for the iPhone XR went live this morning ahead of Friday's launch, and in a press release in the Apple Newsroom, Apple has highlighted reviews from several members of the media who were able to spend some time with the new iPhones.

Description of incident: A lawyer from Georgia was reportedly showering with his cell phone, when he slipped and fell, getting the phone lodged firmly up his backside. During the surgery to remove the phone, the device rang three more times.

Looks like a Blackberry to me, and I don't think those were waterproof.

Pretty sure a phone wouldnt survive being xrayed, let alone what the battery would probably do...

Also the pic is old and chopped.

Is it just me but does that X-Ray look like two egg-head shaped aliens fighting over a device or gadget... :cautious:o_O:eek:

Wait, what's the story here? Do we still think that NDAs cause reviewers to skew on the positive side, and end up being free marketing for the product, because that was debunked almost entirely by the RTX launch.

Don't feel the need to be salty, you guys broke the 2070 world exclusive on your own terms...(nvm the fact that you gave it a Gold Award, those suckers and their NDA)

Its so weird to me that $750 is a budget phone now. Apple raised the prices so high with the X and then XS that people are getting desensitized by the price and now think $750 is budget. I think the XR is a decent phone but I think $575-$650 is a more realistic price, would probably sell a lot more too. I will still pass because I hate face ID only.

Budhey phone as far as Apple goes. There are plenty sub $400 you can pickup. You can also still get newer iPhones for cheap too. That is more their budget line.

Well my brain scream PASS on fruit company products,,,,,, it also do for a number of other products just 1 - 2 Db less loud.
750 are wayyyy too much for a phone, only thing i would carry all the time and pay that amount for are a gun.

I have owned sunglasses and lighters and watches in that price range or much higher, but they all fell off a truck so the price was severely discounted. ;)

Slipped and fell in the shower eh? And if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon...

Affordable? I guess people have a lot more expendable cash than I do these days......that is a mortgage payment to my house ....for a cell phone, and its the "middle of the road" phone?

No, that's definitely not a budget phone. I have a budget phone, $59 when I bought it a few years ago (I've seen it on sale for $29). It's a gen 1 Moto E and it works just fine as a phone (camera sucks though). The only reason I got a smart phone instead of a flip phone was to be able to get a good scientific/programmers calculator App. To me, smart phones are mostly just a distraction so I turn mine off when I get home unless I'm expecting a call (we do have a land line).

Maybe he was just talking out his ass again... after all, he IS a lawyer.

But ya, gives a whole new definition to "You're holding it wrong" if you can get it stuck up your ass when you "fall in the shower <*wink* *wink*>".

Wondering the same thing. What's the story here?

Clearly you need a more expensive house. $750 should be 1 month's utility bill

I would literally crap my pants if my light bill was $750. But Then again I need a more expensive house so...eh, maybe you're on to something.

Back to topic...For that price...Will it blend?
