Dark Souls III - 75% Off

Thanks so much! Just getting back into gaming and Dark Souls is my favorite. Awesome timing for me!

That sucked. I am not sure to be mad at them or amazon for the hassle with the order. I am hoping the game is good.

Never played the first 2, can I jump straight into this ??

I've put probably close to 150 hours in this one alone. Well worth the price.

Absolutely. I'd recommend it. It's the most refined of all of them.

If you really get hooked on it and play through it a few times, play the DLC, start getting curious about backstory and lore, then you can go play the DS1 remaster, and then DS2.

Is this a game that looks good visually?

Or will it run at 200 fps on my system?

I guess the 2 aren't mutually exclusive.

Edit-
Also can you save whenever you want, or is this one of those BS Japanese games that you have to get to save spots?

If you don't like games that make you get to save spots, the Dark Souls series is not for you :)

Put down the save-whenever baby bottle because this isn't any old BS Japanese game. This is m.f. Dark Souls. It's integral to the game's design.

i'm still playing this.

i hate it so much.

but i'm still playing this.

just discovered the shield of want after doing all my farming. *shakes*

If I don't enjoy games like oblivion and elder scrolls is there any possibility I'll still enjoy this game? I've been wanting to try DS3 for awhile.

DS 3 is much different from the elder scroll games. DS3 is about exploring but not an open sand box like the elder scrolls series as there is an order of progression through the main campaign.

I took a bite on this deal. Never played any of the others, but apparently this isn't the type of series where you have to.

It depends what you didn't like about ES. The feel of the games is very different. There are almost no slow moments in DS, very little dialogue. And DS is much, much harder. I power leveled Oblivion and found it easy after awhile.

Great price on an outstanding game! That said, it might cost you a monitor when you put your fist through it.... :banghead:

So is this harder than BloodBorne? It took me a solid 3-5 hours in Bloodborne to get a feel for the game. I still raged on the bosses, but eventually took every one of them out. and got all three umbilicals! Brilliant game!

most fun I had with this series was the original demon souls. played the special edition that came with the from software game guide and it was still hard af. probably one of my top 5 game experiences all time.

haven't really had the time to get back into one. do you guys usually play through with a guide or just wing it?

It actually does save everywhere, though. You can't make manual saves, but it literally saves every time you bring up the menu in the game. All the Souls games going back to Demon's Souls do this.
Did you make this video? :D

Wow. I think it took me like 40 attempts to beat Nameless King, but I never raged that hard.
